Does Cal really change the line-up?

Full Disclosure:

I'm NOT saying I think Hump is some diamond in the rough, nor will I pat my back if he turns into Jorts 2.0. (or better). But with my other teams, I hate seeing talent rot on the bench, especially if that team is struggling in a certain area.

Isaiah Canaan played 2-years for the Rockets. Played great in the summer league, but never got minutes because Pat Beverley was ahead of him (who's nothing special himself). I was so pissed when McHale wouldn't start getting Canaan acclimated because I thought he could help the team. As a PG he wouldn't have to do much with Harden as the 2-guard. Never got a real chance and was traded. Canaan, while far from a stud, and on a pretty crappy Sixers team.. is getting better each year. Putting up 10ppg, and providing good bench minutes.

Rockets could have really used that. That's kind of how I feel about Hump. Could really use a big body right now.

That's the thing, Cal doesn't care that you don't know. He doesn't have to prove the guys he's playing are better than the guys that aren't. He should be able to see that just watching them play each other. If you don't trust him to make simple decisions like that he shouldn't be the coach.

I trust him and want no other coach, but he tends to stay too loyal too some players. See the Harrison over Ulis/Booker in the Wisconsin game last year. A mistake he admitted too and very well may be repeating.
