Does anyone want to go on record

That sums my thoughts up for the most part.

I do not like his ineffective use of offensive playmakers dating back to last season

I do not like his inability to use certain QB personnel

I am not at all impressed with any aspect of his offensive game planning

I do not like the trajectory (or lack there of) for this program

Hell, can we really even give him credit for Shoop at this point? The defense took a massive step back the second they lost last year’s D line

Bottom line... you said it. Good coaches find a way to work with what they have, and no matter what excuses some want to make about tutors and injuries, he isn’t getting another free pass this year. Anything less than 7-5 this year, and he’s got strike 2

You guys with this opinion still don't get it.

Do you think Chip Kelly is a good coach? Did you think Rich Rodriguez was a good coach? Gus Malzahn?

These are system coaches. They are cut from a different cloth. They don't adapt very easily. But once they get it rolling, it can roll seamlessly and plug and play recruits.

Look at where Auburn was in 2008. They tried to move to a spread offense but it took a few years. Gus got them rolling, then when he left in 2012 it collapsed (they tried to play manball), then he picked right back up in 2013. He's gotten a little bit off the rails because he's letting the boosters down there tell him how to coach, and he stays on the hot seat now, coaching outside his system. If there's anyone who really reminds me of JoMo, it's Malzahn. He's got slightly better players overall, but looks disorganized and never maximizes. He needs to get back to the 2013-2014 type personnel.

Notice how Michigan went 10-2 after Rich Rod got fired? Do you really think that's due to Brady Hoke? Not to mention the machine he built at West Virginia, that stayed good after he left.

Notice Oregon stayed good for a few years after Kelly? Do you really think that's due to Mark Helfrich?

These systems attract good recruits, and they all started rocky. Kelly was the OC at Oregon for a couple years before he became head man and had it running smoothly. Notice how terrible the first few years were at Michigan for Rich Rod? What about this year at Ole Miss? It's hard to change personnel.

Read and repeat: THIS IS NOT SYLVESTER CROOM. A lot of the talk is the same, but Moorhead has actually demonstrated his system in multiple places, unlike Croom's West Coast nonsense that he heard Bill Walsh talk about.

No, I just think you don’t get it. Rich rod being used as an example is laughable. Kelly won 10 games in his first year and then had 3 consecutive 12 wins season. Not seeing a real good comparisons between he and joe here. And Gus 12 win season in his first season and then 8, 7, 8, 10 and 8. Auburn lives in the top 10 recruiting rankings. Sorry just not impressed with the system he put in.

The main thing I think you’re missing, most people aren’t just upset about losses. It’s the fact that Joe looks unprepared and the team looks unprepared. We look out of shape and not a very physical team. And none of this has been corrected.

Let’s just join the ACC and then Moorhead will be coach of the year after state beats everyone but Clemson. **

Nah.... then the Citadel will best us in a Non-conference game.

Let’s see: Urban Meyer? Nope he ain’t coming to MSU.

Nick Saban? Nope.

Kirby Smart? Uh no.

Bob Stoops? Don’t think so.

Jumbo Fisher? Haha.

Dan Mullen? Couldn’t wait to get out of Starkville. Apparently knew Starkville Public Schools would eventually grade from a B down to a D.

Patterson, Peterson, Herman, Or Riley? Never gonna happen.

We can see what happens the rest of this season. And believe me. If we get beat by Kentucky I am going to be pissed off and my wife and friends are going to hate me for a few days. Then I’ll get over it like I always do, get reminded that we had 10 football players with the IQ of a gnat, and key injuries at most important positions, and 3 1st Round Picks from our defense. And I’ll say it again. Let’s see how the season plays out. Because when it comes to State athletics, I am bi-polar. A bad game and I am through. 2 days later, trying to figure out how we gonna win the next game.

Well friend, you and I obviously have a big difference in opinion here, but you just listed three guys that have been fired a total of 4 times in the last 5 years, and the only reason that it’s not 5 is because of Malzahn’s ridiculous buyout.

If you want to refer to these guys as “system” coaches, that’s fine, but all I see are guys that repeatedly can’t figure a damn thing out when they don’t have Pat White, Marcus Mariota, and Cam Newton leading the way. Don’t get me wrong... I’m not at all saying that the coaches don’t deserve credit for developing said talent, but look no further than Shoop when talking about how brilliant you can look when you have a roster full of NFL talent on your side of the ball

I do agree with you in that it’s BS to be making any comparison to Croom at this point. Joe has not done a thing to embarrass this program whereas Croom did exactly that on a repeated basis. That said, I’m still waiting for Joe to show us why he was labeled an “offensive savant”. Being able to talk in a board room and draw up plays on the whiteboard is great, but where is this ingenuity on the field? Similar to my statement above, all I’ve seen so far is a coach that shockingly doesn’t get similar results when he doesn’t have Barkley and McSorley running the offense for him. When a guy is getting paid $3M, I expect him to hold off on championship expectations until he has the pieces that he needs, but work with what he’s got in the interim
