We looked at him when he indicated he was transferring from OSU but in the vetting process he indicated he didn't fear failure but that he did have a healthy respect for it and that was enough to send him packing

I think Joe's transfer to LSU was a best case scenario for everyone. Its unlikely he'd have the same success as a Husker with how poor our OLine has played. Our base would have been calling for the Redshirt Freshman, Martinez to save us by now.

Frost wanted to build the program from the ground up. Martinez gives us a shot at having a 4 year starter. Joe also now has a shot at a national title and will likely make millions next season.

Yes, we did, I remember a lot of people here being upset since OSU was already loaded at QB but he chose them anyways, Riley did offer him.

Riley has little to do with his recruitment. Beck dropped the ball. Riley wasn’t hired until December of 2014. 6 months after Burrow committed to Ohio St
