An AD, say Greg Byrne, knows a little about the x's and o's of football, but not enough to feel comfortable questioning an experienced head coach. He has been hearing from the fans and alumni about the bone headed decision making during games regarding clock management, play calling, personnel decisions, etc...

Is it unprecedented for him to hire a consultant, say a retired college head coach, to go to the games and maybe even practice to see if he knows what the hell he is doing? And give the AD his honest opinion about the validity of the west coast offense in college football and if it can be successfull with the talent base in MS? If so, is it about time to do this for Croom?

Thoughts?

Byrne just needs to nut up, walk into Croom's office and tell him he's got this year and next. Be bowl game good or be gone.
