College basketball you love died back in the nineties and I miss it also but you have to adapt. Kids don’t care about these schools and I bet every player on every college team has one goal in mind and that’s NBA, problem is that most of them can’t make it so they stay in school.
As much as having John Wall and players like that helped UK it also kind of cursed UK too.
If a 3 star gets an offer from UK he automatically thinks he’s NBA caliber, he averages 10 points a game and enters the draft (the curse)
There in lies the hostage situation.

North Carolina was exonerated from a lifetime of cheating a couple of yrs ago and the coaches that were caught up in the FBI wiretap are still coaching at the same schools, with the exception of Pitino. College basketball has always carried a stain, but damn,, this shows there is no integrity to the game at all.
Add to that we've got a guy shooting 17% playing in front of a guy shooting 47% and Cal's BS excuse for it. That sorry excuse is just another piece of BS from Cal's mouth dating back to "It's the greatest night in Kentucky basketball history".

I don't care about Kentucky basketball anymore. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, maybe it's because we suck, maybe because of our system, or a combination of the three, but I just don't care anymore. I didn't even know we played yesterday vs Auburn and didn't hear we lost until last night when my UofL friend told me. I use to make an effort to watch every game, but why would I watch a team that is tailspinning and participate in the toxicity of the fanbase/program right now? End of the day Calipari will get what he wants, which is his absurdly high paycheck and to get his rent-a-players to the NBA. Call me a fake fan or fair-weather fan, but I'm not gonna waste my time anymore with this program. Anyone else feel the same way or is that just me?

I’ve been a UK fan since I attended my first game in 1959. I’ve lived through many types of seasons but many more highs than lows. I still look forward to every game. It is has always been a top priority for my attention. I’m 71 years old now but my enthusiasm for Kentucky sports remains high even in a year such as this. I still lI’ve my Cats.

John Vincent Calipari has officially ruined what was once something indescribable. Slowly but surely, he has dismantled and killed the passion that was Kentucky basketball fandom. We’ll look back 25 years from now and say it was a huge mistake ever hiring him.

I love Kentucky basketball, but have legit distain for what Cal is doing to it and to the fans. I want that man gone! The beginning of the second have at Auburn proves he absolutely has no desire to win games. I think he's had enough and throwing the season for a buyout.

I applaud your attempt to give this thread some actual potential. Here's hoping others take the cue.

You’re damn right, brother. That’s why I married a voluptuous redhead myself. They truly are God’s #1 gift. Are they ever!

I wanted to say yes, but I’m still here everyday because it’s in my blood, so I guess it’s pretty obvious I still care no matter how disappointed I am.

I've been a fan since the Runts, so I'll always care. I don't even mind the OAD, as long as the best players get the PT. I've been a little rough on Boston, I realize he's just a kid though, I'm sure he's trying his best. But, if he's really staying with Cal, I don't think he's helping his self.

I had high hopes for this team, but obviously talent evaluation is lacking. I've always been a Cal fan, but if he want's to go coach in the NBA, fine, see ya. Cal has got way to political for me. If the players want to take a knee, I don't care for it, but they're kids. Pissed me off Cal joining them though. The opportunities this country has given Cal and he disrespects the flag that way, no excuse for it.

I care. It is just a challenge when we are so bad and on top of that everything else is not going great. This is supposed to be my fun diversion. This year not so much.

It’s a college basketball message board. Very 90s. You would not be posting on here if you did not care. I bet your MySpace account has cool UK stuff on it
