Nervous that we may not play well. If we play like we have been for the past several games, we will be fine.
This is how I feel. Now, if and when we play another powerhouse, I'll be more nervous than a dog shitting razor blades. [laughing]

I always get nervous before each NCAA game because you never what can happen. Some kid could decide to play the game of his life (like WVU 2010) or a player fails to show up (WCS 2015). It happens and it gives me so much anxiety.

I wouldn't call my feelings nervous, exactly, but I have a lot of anxious energy on game days-especially big game days. I've discovered these days make great treadmill days, and sometimes I even get on th treadmill during the games...although that's probably not the wisest move. I've almost fallen off a time or two.

If it is close, I leave it on, turn the sound off and go work on a project. If they are playing well, no worries. This year has been especially difficult because of the youth on the team...very yo-yo like. My heart cannot take a lot of stress, so I try to minimize the frustration by distracting my mind when things start going badly.

They just need to come out with fire and a will to win today. KSU will be the highest seed they have played to date, so it will be a tougher matchup.

Go Big Blue!!

Will never understand what happened to WCS in that game. We still should've won. It was officiated very one sided. The calls were very inconsistent. They didn't make calls on our end like they did on Wisconsin's end. **** went on for literally 40 minutes. I know, I watched that game ten times or more. It was truly unbelievable how we got shafted. The fix was in and there's no way to convince me otherwise. The refs and Vegas beat us that night. When Ice Cube tweets that, "also, ******** officiating can beat talent too" you know it wasn't just UK fans and their "blue tinted glasses".

Nervous as hell all day. Win or go home time in the tourney and UK hasn't had a region open up like this before. Have to take advantage!

KSU isn't a great team but they are capable of beating UK if we aren't playing well.

Not sure why I even came to work today. I will get nothing done. Maybe I will get sent home as I am not adhering to the dress code: every piece of clothing is blue, I have a Kentucky sweatshirt on, and white and blue striped furry socks. I live in North Carolina though and folks here WISH they could be wearing their baby blue argyle today!

For these big games like tonight. It's not even half way there and my stomach is in knots lol
Anyone who has been a UK basketball fan for any significant amount of time knows that anything can happen in any game, especially in March.

During the game; yes, I get a little bit tense.

I still haven't fully recovered from the stress of both Wichita games, and we won those.

I'm a chaotic blend of nervous and amped for tonight. I don't see us losing to K-State in Catlanta, but this is the NCAA Tournament, you never know.

The Elite 8 games are always the worst for me. I will be a mess on Saturday.

Nervous every tournament, check tip off time several times a day. Avoid work, if it overlaps with the game. If it's close, the last few minutes, my whole body is filled with adrenaline. The same as if I was just in one hell of a fight. Then if we win I'm in a great mood, if we lose....let's just say people avoid talking to me or being in close proximity.

I get much more nervous for these UK games than I did for big games when I actually played. The reason: You have zero control over the games when you are not playing. That being said, I feel very confident in this match up. If we play up to our ability, I see no less than a double digit win.

I'm not worried about this game at all (we could lose but not worried going in) but I'm worried about Nevada.

Yes, I get so nervous during a tight game, that I've turned the game off and walked away just to calm down. I know it's just a silly game that has real bearing on my life. I shouldn't let it control me like that, but there's some deeper instinctual part of me that becomes convinced it's life or death. Such is the curse of being a vicarious couch competitor.

This season I have recorded the games and watched them after the fact. I have caught parts of some games live. Most of my anxiety comes for the officiating. I just can't watch those idiots. It sends me in a rage to see one of our players get tackled (Gabriel) on a rebound and the go to the other end and get called for a slight hand check by the Alexander.....I can't watch that crap live.....

Sorry to post this here, but is there a site where I can sell tickets to Kentucky fans for the South Regional? Wouldn't want them to fall in the wrong hands.

Thanks!

Nervous no, but sometimes curious or concerned yes. Wildcat fans should be the predominant force in Phillips Arena tonight .....we will practically own that joint, yet we’re only favored by 5 1/2 points. This is sort of concerning, but I think Vegas is off on this one.

I'm not nervous about this game but I reserve the right to become nervous. That's what happened in the first two games.

Like others here, I struggle with rage during the games and it's hard to watch the game with me. I do better now during day games because I have a kid and don't want her to start acting like me.
I will get nervous about 5 tonight. I struggle with rage during games too. say words I don't usually say

I am right there with you. Tourney time, while amazing, is by far the most stressful time of the year for me. Even if we are a 1 seed playing a 16 seed I am stressed all to heck. Usually, the cure for that? Booze!

The stakes are the highest this time of year, so naturally we all are at our peak for anxiety. I have it so bad that I always consider taping the game and isolating myself from everyone and everything for those 2 hrs and watching it afterward. That way I can fast forward through any bad spots and cut to the end if we happen to lose.

However, the anxiety is even WORSE by doing that. So, I just come here and grind it out with the best group of UK fans on the Internet on the Game Thread!!:boxing:

I often am too nervous and anxious to even watch the game live. I get too friggin worked up. I tend to be an anxious person anyway, so the UK games just ramp it up 10-fold.

I will update the score online and follow many UK people on twitter, and if it appears we are in control, I can calm down enough to watch it live.

I always watch the full replays after when my nerves are not shot.

When watching from home, I listen on the radio and set my delay to be slightly ahead of the TV. Something about hearing it before seeing it makes it more bearable. My family hates it, but it's the only way I can get through it.

Nervous? Don't worry, you're in good company. I don't care who it's against, this win-or-go-home format can make you nervous... and any Cat Fan who lived through 1984 knows anything can happen.
The winner of that game was going to be the National Champion.

I probably should be a little bit nervous but I'm actually pretty confident. The team has that look about them like they get it now and are having fun doing it.
Plus they are overachieving from what I thought a couple a months ago so anything more than where they're at now is a blessing.
Only thing left I've got to say is GO BIG BLUE!!! Lol
