Do you have a second favorite CBB team? [Poll]

[Blue Jesus]

Simple question. I was just thinking about it, there's no team I consistently root for to do well outside of UK. There will be teams I come to like because of how they play, who's on the team, the coach, etc., but it changes year-to-year.

[CalsPal]

Whoever is playing Duke or UL LOLZ!!!!

[gbl97]

Graduated from Purdue. Go Boilers!

[bbnkat02]

Yes, I root for WKU all the time. I also pull for all Kentucky schools not named UofL (except in rare situations) to do well.

[Drogon]

I don't have a 2nd favorite team. I do however root for Miami(OH), Xavier, Wright St, Eastern Michigan, and UD(Dayton) if they are in the NCAAT. Not UC or Ohio State, though.

[MarvinHagler89]

Nobody in particular but NC State has always been my 2nd because of our joined hatred for UNC and Duke.

[Agent Redbone]

St Johns

[chattanogawildcat]

Defending NIT champs UT Chattanooga

[Weston36]

I kinda like Illinois

[JDHoss]

I have several...

ETSU
LMU Railsplitters
UVA-Wise
Emory & Henry

[cat tat2]

Not really but I pull for Pitino. I like seeing him do well since he’s coming to the end of his career.

[JohnAllis]

I always liked to see UVA do well unless we played them. I always respected Tony Bennett (even more when he retired rather than deal with NIL crapshow).

[OliverSimmonsTwinBrother]

I root for my alma mater but they are pretty irrelevant this mllienum.

[CalsPal]

Idaho St. Bengals

[Monday Nitro]

Whoever is playing Duke or UL LOLZ!!!!

We know from your posts that you are a fan of one of those two fanbases. Your hatred of BBN is delicious.

Nothing gets past that steel trap mind of yours does it?

[Cheap Buried]

Graduated from Purdue. Go Boilers!

My son goes there, so I root for them when they don't play the Cats.

[USARMYWILDCAT]

Nope, hope they all lose.

[Johnnie Africa]

I went to UK, Arizona, WVU, then Ohio State and I couldn’t give a **** about anyone outside of UK lol. Was at WVU when they beat our John Wall team so I actually root against them and I’m still stuck around OSU fans that I find obnoxious so I actually root against them as well tbh

[Ford to Mashburn]

Yes Mercer. One kid graduated from there and half a freshman there. Both cheered there. Now if they were playing Kentucky even my kids would be cheering for Kentucky

[KyLegacyBBN]

nope. Sometimes I wish I did lol but no matter what I bleed blue.

[Littlecreek10]

I’m all Kentucky but I did graduate from Western Kentucky so I do keep up with them some, more so in football though.

[UKBB4Ever]

UK number 1. Whomever is playing UL is number 2.

[L.O.D.]

Can't remember last basketball I watched all way through other thsn UK.

[CGBlue1.0]

Racers!

[Broker]

I have several...

ETSU
LMU Railsplitters
UVA-Wise
Emory & Henry

Let's add Centre College. Both daughters graduated from lhis small great school.

[JASUN74]

Graduated from Purdue. Go Boilers!

I can in this to a point. It’s according where you graduated from I suppose. Example/ Duke, UofL ext. while I would certainly be proud of my degree/degrees, I could never pull for the athletics programs. Purdue is a great school and do great things for kids.

[RedwoodHigh]

Stanford
Cal
All Ky Schools
Former OVC TEAMS

[theBlues]

There can only be one!

But I do root for about 14 ACC teams about 4 times per year.

[Anon200440]

from ohio so go bucks

[Eastkybball]

I know a few young ppl who are fans of Ky and Duke equally. I’m like Htf?

[Bichoto]

Pope is going to make me pick a new team to root for. College basketball just isn’t as fun anymore under him

[Cats192]

Not really.

I root for Kentucky.
I root against our enemies and other blue bloods.
I root against teams we're competing against for seeding in the NCAA tournament.

I root for upsets in the NCAA tournament.
I root for my bracket as the tournament progresses, unless I picked someone in the enemy/blue blood list to win.

[MegaBlue05]

Yes, but it’s not on the level of fandom as UK.

I am a WKU alum, so I also pull for the Hilltoppers. But it’s a lower level in all sports and I don’t get upset when they lose and/or suck.

If WKU wins that day, sweet! If they lose, oh well. Maybe next time! It’s like that.

I do not have a secondary high major team.

[Zedonk]

NKU is my alma mater so I root for them as well.

[Old Blue Fart]

Michigan.
Took classes from UM for three years.

Always second to the real Big Blue

[Seth_C]

I went to EKU, so if I happen to hear about them purely by accident I will hope they win, but won’t even put in effort to follow the team (because I don’t actually care). I might watch another game during the NCAA tournament if it is on before a Kentucky game, but otherwise watch zero sports of any kind other than Kentucky.

[JonathanW2]

WKU for undergrad, go Tops.

[preacherfan]

Whoever is playing Duke or UL LOLZ!!!!

For me it is whomever is playing UNC.

[PoopooPeePee]

Michigan State. I love the green and Spartans are a badass mascot.
