It may have seemed that we were eating first the last several years, but the "Bust List" to include departures is disturbingly large and growing. Since 2015, the business model has been screaming for us to change strategies or get far better players to withstand the yearly gutting. The most recent evidence of course is that Ashton and EJ should still be on this team. Their departure has hurt us immeasurably and absolutely was NOT in their best interest. I do believe Cal fails in this department--20 year old kids are NOT capable of making the best decisions for themselves, and left to their own devices, will likely be tempted and not make the best choice. And of course, we now know what a mistake it will be if Calipari ever recruits another kid from the west coast (I know we have one now). I would make things easy--stay east at the Mississippi River.

I thought Matt Jones says this was one of Cal’s best teams? Maybe we did too much social justice stuff in the off-season. Players seem like they’re pushing Cal around. Same with football, we marched and marched and the players had no respect for Stoops after they saw they had the ultimate leverage over him and could just walk out of practice and get him to give into their demands due to “the struggle”.
