Do the refs work for Nowell?

One is his uncle and the other one diddles him at night. Wait, sorry. That’s the same guy.

In defense of the refs, they let us get away with a clear hanging on the rim in the first half and they were absolute trash the entire game.

Didn’t think it terrible. We were in the bonus with over 11 minutes to go.

Outside of the trash when they called his attempt to pass a “shooting foul.”

Once every 8 or 9 years I feel that the officiating is outwardly bias. Today was the first time in a long time that it was obvious.
Agree the last time it was THIS bad was the UNC game to go to Final Four the Bam, Monk and Fox team we were gang raped that night, they did way more than enough to take away what momentum we had. Kinda makes you wonder if its Vegas controlling them or Nike we haven't done anything since the Cal-Phil Knight problem.

Oh hush. We were in the bonus at the 13 minute mark of the second half.
Refs had nothing to do with this.

Would’ve been in the bonus before the first commercial break if they would’ve called even half the fouls that occurred.

Regardless, this UK team had been bad all season. They weren’t going anywhere.

Refs absolutely had a lot to do with today's game.

They waited an entire half before calling fouls. Wallace trips in the backcourt...nothing.

Head butt to the rim for KSU....nothing. A review proved it! That was not a basketball play.

It doesn't take a dozen mistakes to make a difference.

Honestly I blame Cal and some of the UK crazies for our ref issues. I've never watched a game where Cal didn't complain to the refs from start to finish. I can easily see how he'd get on their bad side. It's also not far fetched to say the way our crazies handled the UNC E8 loss hurt us with ref bias. They are like a fraternity, so we may not get the rooferee but we do get his buddies.

I see a lot of people complaining about them slamming the ball. It’s only a technical if they don’t catch the ball after they slam it.

I am glad that the refs have integrity. 🙄

They were somewhat decent up until a certain point in the 2nd half (outside of the fat ref mean mugging Cal after every whistle). Crucial blown calls that hurt us in a tight game. The Toppin phantom foul on Nowell on a 3, Wallace no call while we were up 1 (should have been 2 free throws), and the “foul” on Nowell when he was clearly passing and it gets ruled as a shooting foul. Turnovers and Reeves/Toppin not showing up is what ultimately cost us.

Anybody who doesn’t understand the way the refs manipulated the end of that game is either a) not very bright, or b) a troll

We trailed heading into half time.

So, when KSU was racking up fouls early in the 2nd half, lo and behold, we went on a run and took a decent lead! Imagine that!

Then, KsU got more physical, the calls slowed and they go on a run. Wow! Imagine that!

That short twerp was gifted 5 free throws today he didn’t earn. He hit 4 of them. And it helped turn the game around. Imagine that!

It is possible for a) the coach to be bad, b) the players to mess up, and c) the refs to be terrible and crooked.

The mutual exclusivity crowd fails at critical thinking time and time again.

“Hey ma! We missed a shot. Coach is stooopid! If make all are shots, we wud wind. Can’t blame zebras for that!”

Cal had one team that was so talented that it was able to overcome the corruption. That’s it.

Bunch of cry babies, we shot FT’s early in second half. At one point is was 7-1 fouls, our favor. Quit crying, take the beating. K State is better.
Beating? We led most of the game, lmao. We shot 13 of 17 from the line which is solid.

And LOST. K State was awful from 3 most of the game, they shoot better than they did on most nights. Play that game 10 times and K State wins 7. Better players, better guards, better coach.
I'm not arguing we are a better team. But we should have won that game, especially if Reeves hits ONE OR TWO 3's.

And Johnson for them was bad, what if he’s on in this game, then it’s not close, K Atate by 10-15. We are not good guys, we all need to quit making excuses and get better.

Johnson wasn't on because Toppin shut him down. He struggled with height while at Florida too.

Bad game planning hurt us. Ware and Collins on the floor at the same time. No zone to stop the little guy getting where he wanted. Offense design to shoot long jumpers

What also hurt us, was the officiating late. Higgins buddy was awful in the first half and passed it off to Burdette in the second half. Cal made several comments about the no calls and was correct. Burdetee missed the obvious foul on Wallace and also called the "shooting" foul for KSU.

Both things hurt and cost us big in this game.

Gerry Pollard didn’t cost us the game, let’s be honest, our team plays for themselves, this **** show will continue. We don’t have the IT factor anymore and honestly we just aren’t that good anymore.

And let me add that I think this is the way it will always be for Calipari. He is always going to get a questionable whistle in tight games, and it is going to cost him.

He's been berating refs for a long time, and he is not well liked for other reasons as well. This ref fraternity is a real thing, and there's no reason to think they don't look out for each other and occasionally screw Cal.

Unless he has a team that wins every game by 20, he won't win another natty.
In other words, he is never going to win another natty.

The most head scratching stat of the game was how in the world did the refs only call 1 foul on Oscar. He was over the back 10 times & probably committed around 15 fouls.

Exactly, our fans whine and cry about Redding when we shoot blanks all game. Oscar fouled all game and wasn’t whistles. Face it guys, we are not better than K State. They have better college players than us. And Coach Tang is the real deal, he would win big here, I’m talking national championships.

I didn't think 2 of the 3 were terrible but Pollard made up for all 3 of them. He wasn't even trying to hide the fact he wanted to "T" Cal up in that first half.

There is NO SUCH THING as “over the back.” How many times do you have to be told this.
