You have to factor in wheelers awful shooting as turnovers bud. He needs to move along. You can’t be 5’9” and only attribute to pass the ball. No one will defend you in the half court that’s what happened. Teams decided to sprint back and make wheeler beat them in the half court. He couldn’t and that’s the end of that experiment. Your pg needs to be able to operate in transition and in the half court. Wheeler can’t. That’s why we lost 2 games in a row to end the season. Both teams forced wheeler into the half court bam done we went home. Wheelers stats are meaningless bc he cannot shoot and ran up his Asst to turnover against crap teams. 8 times he had terrible games and all 8 we lost. One of many cal failures

Most NCAA tournament games are decided in the half court. Teams simply have to value possessions and take high quality shots.

Obviously, half court defense is top priority as well. There's a reason Houston and Texas Tech are still playing. It's not very often a team can play uptempo the majority of the game unless their defense creates offensive opportunities.

Just looking into Wheeler’s eyes at the free throw line vs. St. Peter’s should be enough to never allow someone like that back on your team. Not to mention the plethora of problems he has in regular gameplay.
