Absolutely.
I think Cal leaves. The roster is weak af. Even if Oscar returns, he returns with a worse supporting cast. But anyone over Wheeler will be an improvement. No BB IQ. Came here and exhibited same flaws he had before.
I know we're all frustrated but I'd welcome Wheeler back.

He's fine as a back up but not the starting point guard at UK.
He sucks and lost the game period. Plenty did but he hot us to end regulation then st the line then with the Tzo at crucial times and he's our f**,kin pg.
I think Wheeler isn't to be blamed. The tweak was get it to Oscar no matter what. You don't think Saint Peter's coaching staff realized that and thus sagged to facilitate the turnovers.
He melted down at the end. And he had multiple out of control moments of bad decision this entire year. If he’s starting guard next year, it’s not good.
It's pretty incredible to watch people completely lose perspective over a loss.
It's tough, it sucks, I probably won't get to sleep until 3-4 AM.

Has anybody ever wondered why Wheeler and Brooks averaged more shots per 40 than Grady for the season?
The loss in perspective is wanting to get rid of a solid player who was near the top of the nation in assists.
Oscar, Toppin, Ware, Hopkins, Collins, Fredrick. Pg wise anyone but Wheeler what was that at the end of regulation? Then misses both fts, then throws it away crucial time trying g to hit Oscar.
He can't shoot and is limited physically. Sound like a Ky pg?

Not a shooting threat. Small. Slow on D. Turnover prone. Choked at the line. But yeah, he can dribble.

Dude mostly piled up assists against weak *** teams. Piled up turnovers too. And continued to make terrible decisions throughout the whole year.
Six turnovers tonight and again at least half of them were unforced. And two of them came at very critical junctures.
1-1 turnover ratio tonight. Back to back turnovers with a 6 point lead at end of regulation. 2 missed free throws in overtime. Terrible turnover in overtime. Bad foul in overtime. Went from 2 down to 7 up with him on the bench. Attacked him every time they needed to score. Couldn’t defend pick and roll because he would chase ball and hang the big out to dry.
He also carried us for a stretch too. He wasn't the only player to **** the bed, it's not fair to just pile it all on him.
I NEVER want another PG that can't shoot the basketball. Heck we 2 other FREAKIN SHOOTING GUARDS that COULDN'T shoot the basketball!!!

We went from John Wall and Tyler Ulis to Devin Asschew and Suckir Wheeler, oh how mighty have fallen. I suppose Cal will drown his sorrows at the nearest All-You-Can-Eat buffet
Wheeler is a good point guard. The problem is his coach didn’t reel him in when it was needed. The coach allowed him to be out of control at times. Wheeler led the SEC in assists and was 3rd in the nation. Rod Strickland was good at developing point guards when he was at Kentucky. You could tell Wheeler had no one developing throughout the season. Cal did him no favors by not coaching him like a coach should.
Hell the guys that have a reputation for shooting all of a sudden can’t shoot when it matters the most .
