You know what's worse, "La Familia"...Are we Spanish?
I don't recall us pushing it as much as Duke does "The Brotherhood" though?
Maybe I've missed it. You tend to get more annoyed by that stuff if you already dislike the program in question.

Of course I am annoyed losing on Lively to Duke but I suspect we will add Bona and Wallace plus maybe a transfer.Any UK fan should be happy with that class. We can't get everyone but Orlando,Jai and Chin now gives us a great shot at most of them so I'm happy.
I bet Duke fans was just as annoyed as we are now when we were getting the number 1 and 6 recruits. I’m like you, as happy as can be with the class so far and can’t wait to see who commits next

It turned out to end up being Duke's best all time class instead of ours. We will still have a very good class I wouldn't trade it with them. But Cal lands a few bigs anyway.

Why duke?

Lively is a great talent and will be a great player. UK needs to quit ****ing with Westtown Prep guys. (Bamba, Reddish, Kepnang, and now Lively)

If Kentucky can land Adem Bona with Cason Wallace, I'm more then pleased with what they have and considering Bona's played with Chris Livingston in AAU and was the lone player at Pangos/This Summer to really physically challenge Jalen Duren, UK would/hopefully will be getting an elite talent in the 6'10 Bona.

Yet Cal still, per reports, told Bona to hold off committing. You can't recruit scared.

Yes but all those guys were top 2 draft picks. Do you really think their NBA careers would be dramatically different after being top players in CBB and the #2 draft pick? I dont buy that.
Why do you think Pat Riley likes UK players so much? I absolutely believe that UK better prepares players for the pros than Duke. I absolutely believe if some of those other players came here they’d have better careers.

Lively was all over the place though-he said he was going to announce before school started, then in Spring and then popped this up now--so UK moving Bona's visit had more to do with wanting a better visit weekend for him and focusing on Cason Wallace who they wanted to get on campus ASAP to capitalize on momentum.

You get Bona-and return a Soph Daimion Collins that is a damn good duo upfront.

If he wanted to commit, you take him on the spot. Now we are in a position where we have to smooth over the Bona camp.

If you’re too much of a pre-McDonna to go to a school like UK because they wanted someone more than you then I question your mental fortitude.

Like I said earlier today, imagine how much work Nike does for Duke when they can not only name their recruits but also have them commit exactly when they want.

Think back w few years ago to the Zion class. The 3 knew years before where they were going, yet slow played it and committed in succession.

Amazing

"I like the whole idea of the Brotherhood, Duke basketball and Duke University," Lively told ESPN. "I believe next year's team has a chance to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament and maybe a national championship. After my playing career, a Duke degree is important to me."

First NBA contract AWESOME. guess what means nothing unless you get that second one. For some reason UK guys get that second one and its max or close to it. Cal makes guys better. He knew playing KAT and Skal inside was only to benefit them and their career. Skal was/is an Nba wet dream. Body etc he checks all the boxes. Except hes a lightweight. Cal Tried... hopefully, Skal gets there. Just objectively, UK guys under Cal are far better at staying and playing in the NBA. Those are facts. Take out AD and Zion cause they would succeed without going to college but our guys learn to grind.

That’s fine. But I prefer the FOCUS be on Duke, not the NBA. It’s not like Duke guys are starving bums after their stop in Durham. It’s about continuing to build the Duke brand which of course, includes winning. For most, college is the next step in their journey and they want it to be an amazing experience, which Duke clearly provides. JMHO.

Typical... in EVERY way. Typical K move. Typical timing. Typical hype.... and likely typical Duke results. Get the Duke whistle for a season - get the ESPN/Nike Hype and then be unable to translate it past the "brotherhood". Sooo many 5* busts out of Duke. K strokes them to get them there by hook or crook (Likely both tbh) and they leave completely unprepared to succeed, unaware of reality. Before a Douche poster says "Jason Tatum" - that is what is called a statistical anomaly (something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.)

Soft *** program - soft *** players.

I hope so, because Duke will be getting all the elite gay recruits in the near future. Lively will usher in the new era!

SMH...and you guys will be stuck with 2 and 3-star gays. And for what? Your precious homophobia? Sad.

Omg. You got gerbilled. As I hate to admit it I've watched a couple games at Durham. That totally help me get over the homophob crap.

Ahhh, duke resorting to louisville's scheme of manipulated time lines to rationalize relevance. I don't blame duke, I would too if my team had a pathetic number of banners
They have just over 50% as many titles as Kentucky. 😅

Oh yeah, UK has 5 coaches with a title, also.

How many coaches have won a title at Duke? 🤔

Dook gets pimped mercilessly by the northeast media monster, the Rat gets fed fresh cheese by the NCAA Selection Committee for 25 years straight, and, despite all that, Dook still isn't a zit on UK's ***.

Yeah....a first year coach knows excatly how to do that....oh well, once they pick somewhere else they become the enemy...so war it is
You know now that NiL is in play a Duke booster will just give this kid about 500,000$$ and they will disguise it somehow. Just unreal.
