Too bad Jeffries’ team wasn’t scheduled against Dontaie Allen’s team. That would have been an interesting matchup.

Dontaie Allen is a great player, but I don't think Pendleton County could hang with Olive Branch. Olive Branch not only has Jefferies but several other potential college players. At one time their point guard was rated #1 PG in his class.

The kid no matter what will have UK on everyone's mind all the time, every time he plays. A good advertisement. It's a shame his Daddy pulled his crude...
I didn't get to make it to the game. I know they were playing a team out of Louisville. I like to watch in-state talent as much as possible.

Dj Jeffries is a legend in his own mind that thinks he will score 20 a game. He doesn’t compare to anyone on our team and they come no where near scoring 20 a game. He will be a four yr off the bench player for ****** Memphis, and live vicariously through wiseman his one yr there

I watched whole game my wifes nephew was leading scorer for Scott Co - Jefferies looks the part and is a nice player but Scott Co has Moreno who is a great High School player - much better skills than PJ Washington but unfortunately 2" shorter
Moreno will make a Xavier or WKU a fine ball player

I love this Scott County team. Before the season began, I was a bit concerned about their bench. But, after watching three games they have 3 kids on the bench that can play. Go Cards. BTW, they also have the best coach in the state. Not the best high school coach, the best coach, period.

DJ Jazzy Jeffries was Will Smith's friend on Fresh Prince, right?

The way he handled the whole UK to Memphis thing was a joke. Bye.

As a side note to this....after the death threat accusation came out about wiseman, they included Jeffries.
1. Jeffries wasn’t important enough to any cat fan to even bother with a threat-nobody really cared
2. He got his feelings hurt because he wasn’t getting enough attention
3. Makes you wonder who started those rumors in the first place

And don’t forget their ace in the hole: Toyota!

So the Scott County High School Coach is better than a first ballot Hall of Famer.:eek:kay:

I'll stand by my comment. I think you are of the impression that the higher level the better the coach. I have been around basketball coaches, both college and high school, for over 50 years. Some of the best (and worst) coaches I have been associated with were high school coaches. The majority of head college coaches these days don't do a lot of actual coaching. Their assistants do. The head college coach these days is more of a CEO than a coach. I could give you an example of an example of a head coach at a major D1 program that didn't know the nuts and bolts of his team's press defense. He had to defer to an assistant when he was asked a technical question. If I had to coach a game for my life, the two coaches that I would have least want to coach against were both high school coaches. Bobby Keith and Morgan Wooten. If you don't know about these gentlemen you don't know basketball. Some of the best (and worst) coaches in the country coach at the high school level.
