The whole situation is just about greed. Durkin should have resigned once the kid died and he was ultimately responsible...which he was. The board was waiting for an investigation to prove cause for his firing so they wouldn't have to pay him. Durkin stayed on even though it was going to be hella painful for all involved just to get millions, and when cause was not found, the board reinstated him hoping the blowback would make him resign, so they wouldn't have to pay him. Well, he continued to work even after the team walked-out, even after the team had a 5-3 record without him, he rolled in like he owned the place, ready to prepare for the next week. And then he had to be fired, without cause, and now he'll make 5.3 million. And , oh yeah, a college football player is dead, and smeared because he didn't drink enough water.
