Looks like the Maryland BOR were idiots and had no idea what kind of blowback they were going to get when they used their OSU/Urban Meyer defense.
Are they now going to fire the president and athletic director as well? Are they just trying to make themselves look as bad as possible? If so, they have succeeded. At least they made the final right call but boy do they look stupid.
The board of regents that recomended keeping durkin needs to be shown the door

This could get messy. BOR is appointed by the governor. Idk how easy it is for them to be let go. Alternatively, they could turn around and fire the president for firing Durkin...

The whole situation is just about greed. Durkin should have resigned once the kid died and he was ultimately responsible...which he was. The board was waiting for an investigation to prove cause for his firing so they wouldn't have to pay him. Durkin stayed on even though it was going to be hella painful for all involved just to get millions, and when cause was not found, the board reinstated him hoping the blowback would make him resign, so they wouldn't have to pay him. Well, he continued to work even after the team walked-out, even after the team had a 5-3 record without him, he rolled in like he owned the place, ready to prepare for the next week. And then he had to be fired, without cause, and now he'll make 5.3 million. And , oh yeah, a college football player is dead, and smeared because he didn't drink enough water.
The coach should have never been brought back at all. Completely tone deaf by the school leadership.
BOR should be held accountable for this fiasco

I apologize if someone already covered this but, the president is retiring soon so there isn't much the regents can do to him.
I am so glad when the Frost staff showed up and discovered some of the team was struggling with winter conditioning they backed off.
