That's rough. I wouldn't have called it, but it's probably technically correct.

If I was on the official crew I would have let whomever called it that I thought they were being excessive.

So theoretically, even though whoever called it was "correct", you'd let that person know that they were "excessive"?

I guess I don’t really see how that’s a celebration, huh.
I’d like to see what the first celebration was for comparison. I’m also curious if this same kid had issues at other meets. I agree that it’s not over the top. Maybe it was just the final straw.

I think maybe they should check the officials Kalshi account.

There’s a rule you can’t extend your hand with five fingers while running? I’d like to see that in the book.
I mean, if it had been ONE finger, I would have understood it. But it was five fingers. Unless that is some kind of newly created diss, I'm just not getting this DQ.

Seems like they've got a specific rule, and the team was already warned once.

The rule might be silly, and you might disagree, but that doesn't mean you get to ignore it. It's still a rule.
We're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. The rule was WAY beyond silly. It was assinine. Moreover, the sanction took the State team title away from his school. Just WAY over the top.

If he was already warned, then he knew what was at risk.

Was it pretty minimal, yep.

But, when a line is drawn and rules are set, stepping over a lot vs a little, sorry about your inability to listen. FAFO.

On the surface that's a weak DQ. However, it could be a situation where they were on the lookout for that, due to it meaning something or there being a history of bad sportsmanship. You can tell his coach seemed to be thinking "Here we go again with this nonsense. We can't help ourselves." I know the look well.

What does this have to do with anything?
It's stupid when any athlete does the ring thing. Angel was stupid, the kid that did it was particularly stupid. Angel is just stupid so maybe she can be forgiven, but she's still stupid.

Can she spell stupid, though?
