Desperation. Wonder how many billions this venture will lose for Disney.
Billions? Do you think ESPN is paying Penn Entertainment and its already existing gambling operations billions of dollars in order to allow Penn to use the ESPN brand? LOL.

You do realize Disney stock is DOWN over 50% in past two years, correct?
of course I do

bought calls at the bottom

up 40%, still have some long tails running

probably buy more tomorrow morning after today's earnings

will be back around $100 in 8-10 months *not financial advice*

There were rumors of this for Disney and Draftkings last year. Guess they got a better deal with Penn. I have increased DIS holdings.

Yes, anytime you lose **** tons of money and have to sell off pieces means great things are happening. But I get it, its just restructuring and reorganizing to become leaner and meaner. LMFAO.

relevant news for fans of a conference whose football rights are owned by ESPN's principal competitor and relies on cable subs to pump up tv rights:

So Penn is paying ESPN 150 million a year for 10 years just to use the ESPN name on their sportsbook. Portnoy gets full control of Barstool but if he ever sells Penn gets 50% of the sale.
