Much like an ankle sprain, it will swell and movement will be more limited. Hopefully it won't affect his shot.

Tomorrow it will be sore. Saturday is where it will matter. He'll definitely be able to play, it's just a matter of tolerance. Anyone who has played on a sore ankle or sore finger before, both are very active body parts during a game and the slightest contact can agitate it.

He was in obvious discomfort, it will be a matter of pain tolerance for Aaaron. But IMO, even though it's his off hand, it looks like it could have some impact on his jump shot, let alone the slightest bump can set off agonizing pain.

Agree, recently did this with my pinky and ring finger, jammed on an armored vehicle door - hurt like a mother and affected me for some time. Given he's a SG, I see this having an impact, if nothing else he doesn't have a lot of time to adjust before the next game. It's most likely going to affect his shooting, he was tentative after coming back in tonight.

because Cal told him to be. Told him to not do any driving into the lane.
Makes sense, why risk it in a game like that - good to hear it was deliberate.

UK got a break with Aaron's off hand being the catalyst in this injury.

Health is the only factor in potentially keeping UK away from winning the whole thing in 10 days.

That was a scary moment. Thought he was done for the tourney for a couple minutes.

He's 5-10 from 3-point land in the past 2 games. March Aaron>>

no it would just hurt. you'd feel it even on your guiding hand. you rest up and play through the pain.

Dude popped it back in himself to get back to the bench. He will deal with the pain. It's not just his finger that's swelling. He's feeling it, and they'll be dragging the ground again by next game.

The bottom line is that this will affect Aaron. I just hope it doesn't cost us the game Saturday. Booker needs to step up to the plate.

No worries, it's his non shooting hand, he will shoot just fine...i have done same thing before, u just get used to the soreness, but it will have no impact on his shot.

believe it or not, this may help his shooting, he will concentrate more on his form, elevation, and wrist flick.

Jeez, typical UK football fan loser attitude. Go back to the depressing football board.

Ronnie Lott would just have it lopped off. Aaron would still have 90% of his digits. The rest of the team could pick up his 10%.

I did the same thing (although on my shooting hand) and my shot hasn't been the same since. The finger just doesn't have the same range of motion or flexibility. Not to say that my injury is indicative of what is typical, but I will say that it probably will affect him to some extent.

I'm glad you're not a UK football fan. Less is more with fans like you.

I am no where near AH level. But I dislocated my left pinkie playing basketball a couple years ago. Dr had me immobilize it for 2 weeks, once I did start playing again, it hurt each time I caught the ball or even dribbled w/ my left hand.
