I hate how the season has went for all of us, whether you’re a Cal fan or hater. I know our board is divided and I respect some of the people on both sides of that debate. Seeing our program with a record of 4-8 is terrible and it just isn’t acceptable at a program like ours. All we can hope for now is winning the SEC tournament. I hope this team improves enough to do that but I know the odds are slim.

UK isn't winning the SEC tourney. 4 wins in 4 days? No way this team can generate enough offense for that.
Cal's pyramid scheme is finally toppling over. The "Rinse and repeat" only works when you land the best players and it's been years since he brought in a truly dynamic freshman.

That's because you're too focused on the losses and not the wins. We still have a chance to make the NCAA Tournament this year, next week, for the first time ever, this team will be firing on all cylinders, everyone will be back and ready to play.

I could have worded that better but I’m aware of how divided our board is. That was what I was getting at when I said that. I like people on both sides of a lot of the arguments that we see every day on here.
Just watching college basketball in general. Outside of Gonzaga the product being put on the floor just about everywhere is terrible. Baylor looks good, but only because their brand of terrible is a little better than the terrible Texas Tech is showing. That, combined with the offciating across the board, is just making this sport more and more difficult to watch.
Disappointing? Its an absolute train wreck. UK is the laughingstock of sports right now.

Disagreeing with someone doesn't make anyone a hater. Cal evidently needs an assistant who isn't afraid to tell him when he is wrong. Boston is not getting better he is getting worse. He might get better with less time on the floor and more on the bench. What Cal is doing now is not only hurting the team but it's hurting Boston too. It is becoming more apparent that Cal is losing his focus. It's like he thinks if we don't have a couple of lottery pics this year the season will be a total disappointment. Focus on winning the game Cal not being in such a hurry to get players to the NBA. These kids have long lives ahead of them hopefully, don't rush them. He has to start playing Allen 35 minutes a game, and he may have to go small and play Brooks at the five. People might laugh at that, but we need to be quicker somehow. Too many 50-50 balls that we aren't getting to!

I'm thinking "top 5 pick" dynamic. Fox was our last one and not coincidentally that was the last time we won more than 30 games in a season.

He was a great recruit. Better than advertised. A star in the NBA, it just took him until the second half of the season to up his game, which is arguably one of the downsides of the OAD concept.

oh I loved Herro........ i just think Cal misuses shooters. we should of been running plays to get Herro like 20 shots a game... Cal has this fetish of making good shooters attack the basket instead of shooting jumpers.... its weird.

Yeah I agree. My problem is Cal runs the same play for Allen that he ran for Herro. At some point you gotta get a little more creative as opposing coaches can watch film too.
