2010 was the exception not the rule. We had sucked for so many years that we were absolutely euphoric to be back in the top 10 again. Flash forward to 2017, we are a perineal top ten team and had an excellent but not epic showing for game day. My son is a student and did not go because he is overwhelmed with pre-med classes, partied last night and has 2 papers due on Monday. He is working today so he can get his game on tonight after the win.
Some jokers complaining about the crowd and the students are bitching from the comfort of their basement computer and have never attempted a full college course load in their life.

They come to Lexington for Gameday and have a 10 minute segment dedicated to the Duke "Gear Ban" implemented by Broke Back K. WHO IN RUPP ARENA GIVES A CRAP ABOUT THAT??!!!!

ESPN continually takes the BBN for granted. They should be CONSTANTLY kissing our butts because we are the main reason for the appeal of NCAA Basketball!!

There's never going to be another 20,000+ again like there were back in the 2010 Wall-Cousins-Bledsoe days. That was right after the Billy Clyde disaster and several years of not being as relevant as Cats fans are accustomed to. Fans were starved for the program to gain national attention and exposure so they turned out in huge numbers that day.
Today's crowd will still be the biggest GameDay crowd ESPN will have all season.

Your daddy, grandpa and g-grandpa felt the same way when UT beat UK over the past 100 years. Knoxville is not kind to Kentucky and yes it does suck.

It's not Tennessee exactly. I just realized our defense is never going to improve much. And that's going to make it hard in march.

Good observation. We lack the eraser on the front line we had in past years and it shows.
