On the US news rankings, MSU has met with US News about the ranking methodology, and US News admitted that our concerns were valid and that their methodology is flawed. However, nothing in the methodology was changed. Kinda like the league office apologizing about poor officiating, but the result doesn’t change.

Seems like a concerning trend that we're a pushover. That points towards leadership as well, one would assume. But I'm not in the know.

If you are going to compare cost of in state tuition you should also compare median household income of the state. Affordability is determined by income.

The University of Maryland seems like a bargain. #59 in USNWR rankings. In state tuition is $10,995. Maryland has the highest median household income in the US and it is at $84,805 per year. In state tuition at the University of Maryland is 13% of median household income.

Mississippi State is #196 in USNWR rankings. In state tuition is $9220. Median household income in MS is the lowest in the US at $45,081. In state tuition at Mississippi State is 20% of median household income.
