When I click on "Full Schedule" on the Home page (to see the full schedule for the football team for this fall), why does it take me to a Yahoo page with nothing but ads and links to stories, and no schedule?

The scores/schedule comes up for me. I'm not going to disable my ad blockers to see what you are talking about.

Ah, I went and checked and now I see what you are talking about.

The URL has an extra '/' in it that is making an error in the browser.

https://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/teams/nebraska//schedule/?season=2018

should be one '/' after nebraska and it sends you to the correct page.
