The winner of the tOSU and MSU game tomorrow basically wins the East division? MSU last 2 games Rutgers and Maryland, tOSU last 2 games Illinois and Michigan. MSU has already beat PSU and Mich.

Funny how ESPN only talks about the games they televise... How amazing would it be to see MSU and Wiscy in Indy?

Yep, it's basically the defacto "Who will be playing Wisconsin in the CCG" game. Should be a fun one to watch.

MSU was 1-8 in the conference and 3-9 overall last year. How did Dantonio keep his job?o_O

This seems to be a swipe at many of us wanting Riley fired...Dantnonio was fired because he had built up goodwill by having numerous really good teams and making the CFP...you can survive a losing season in that position. Riley has no goodwill and a terrible track record throughout his carrer. Took a 9 win a year program and quickly turned it into a 0.500 program.

:)Very astute of you. Dantonio is a .688 career coach at MSU and is a better head coach than Riley. Of course I could be zinging the people who wanted Frank fired for 7-7.

Simple.. he had a history of excellence, just like everyone’s beloved Gary Patterson (4-8 last year). No one here in DFW (print, message boards) even raised a peep about his job. Riley’s history, well let’s not go there

Obviously then, the fans know they will never get a better coach or else the TCU fans don't have much passion for excellence and just accept mediocrity...

I’ll give u the argument that TCU knows it can’t get a better coach (I’ve been going for 20+ years to home games and it rarely has a complete sell out)-but you got to remember it is a small private school with a relative small alumni base in a large population area with tons of other entertainment options. However you are wrong when you state they just accept mediocrity. Like I stated earlier just humor us all and post Patterson’s winning percentage and last 10 years record as coach and compare it to Riley’s..... that is why we forgive a bad season (that and we know Patterson HATES losing)

The same Frank who's winning percentage continues to decrease the longer he coaches? Go ahead. Zing.
Wrong. Actually his last couple of years have brought his winning percentage up. He's leading his division again this year and just clobbered Toledo who is leading their side. BTW, Toledo is the team who beat NIU and most on here last week said we couldn't beat Toledo. I'll note that probably the best thing Frank has going on right now is that it appears he has turned most of the control on game day over to his coordinators and they're pretty good. He's been steady and he's had pretty good staff stability and that has helped him rebuild that program from a doormat.

Quit being an idiot.
You know the answer to your own question. o_O
Sure. He had over a decade to build goodwill in order to withstand a crappy season. He took over a program in disarray and immediately led them to a 7-6 year I think it was. He's had other crappy years but he's winning at a .14 rate higher than MR is after only 3 years and a horrible first year. Would Dantonio get enough time at NU to rebuild us in to that power house .688 winning team? He'd widely respected and promoted as a great coach by most on this board.

When he left NU he was .75x he is currently .6xx. Thats a decline.
