Can anyone at the game confirm if we had a band or not? It did not sound like it on tv. That is embarrassing if not.

There was no band. Idk why. It was kind of strange. I really hated not being able to sing the alma matter with the team after the win.
I hate to ***** after a win but damn. That is embarrassing. Can we at least not act the part of SEC member?
Are we sending the pep band on the road anywhere? Wonder if Covid stuff still keeping them to home only.
Yeah, those MFers kept me and my son up all night at the hotel in Meridian. And then emptied every ice machine in the hotel before they boarded the busses.
Band alum here. Since the band has gotten bigger over the last couple of years, they don’t send a pep band to some of the away games due to cost. We use to have one full band trip to an away game but shut that down once it became too expensive. I think it’s lame to not send a pep band to every away game and they were doing this prior to Covid.
This. We had all time high donations to MSU last year. We get SECN network money that we did not have prior to just a few years ago. Tuition and fees are more than they have ever been, with record enrollment. And, we act like we can barely keep the lights on. I get not sending the whole band, which we used to do, but to not even send the pep band reeks of cheapness and not even trying. How in the world did we afford it in the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, 10’s?

Yep. It is truly amazing the weak *** things some of our fans can come up with to ***** about after a great road win.
We could beat everybody on our schedule except Bama and people would be one here on Saturday night crying to " Far Leach and Cohen " because we woulda beat Bama if Leach wasn't too stubborn to run the ball.
Yes, but they sent the ENTIRE band to Starkvegas that year; they performed at halftime. I still have video of it.
Probably too far and too expensive, band is on a shoe-string budget (former FMB member here).

Hate to say it but the band is mostly an afterthought when it comes to athletics…I remember a few months ago Ole Miss had to GoFundMe to get an updated practice field and we were the same until a big booster paid for it because his granddaughter was in the band if I’m not mistaken
