Sluggish on defense. Need a day off and get home to get rejuvenated.
I agree with this. There are a few people that mentioned it a few days ago. Play at 5 on Sunday; don’t get home until late Sunday night; class Monday morning and then have to fly out again on Tuesday. Tough schedule but you ha e to keep fightingSluggish on defense. Combination of 2 things. That schedule above not to mention playing 5 ranked teams and 3 road games in the 6 , has taken a physical as well as mental toll. We had no legs which leads to the second point. When we play in your face defense , it energizes our offense , gets us out in transition and we score in an easier manner. We didn’t have it and couldn’t get a stop or get over or thru a screen and then you are late on close outs ( Ron and Geo had long threes drained on them when we were trying to cut into the 10 point deficit. ). We missed a ton of shots in the second half as our legs deserted us and we had not done that since Northwestern first half. Not enough defense and missed makeable shotsI agree with this. When shots don't fall we see defensive intensity drop from some... Geo's first 3 was off the side of the backboard no rimI also think missing a ton of shots on the other end demoralizes the defensive effort.
This has nothing to do with the loss. They just didn't want it very much. Pike said it at halftime. Effort wasn't there. Missing wide open shots. NCAA tourney teams don't do that in critical games. We had this game right there for the taking. We tied it up and then blew every opportunity to take the game. Brick after brick. So disappointing. So typical.I agree with this. Geo was covering a guy who did not stop moving... I'd rest on O if I were him too. That's the thing about the tall long guards.. they are not the type to never stop moving nor cover those guys who are like that.Geo at times seemed to be a half court behind the action. Maybe he is tired. But Ron seemed to push the action best he could. Overall not a good game of team basketball and Michigan was almost begging us to take the lead in the first half. We need to get it together by Saturday.

We are not the only team with tired legs on the road this time of year. You’re old so you should realize this by now. No excuse for not realizing this at your age. That’s no excuse they are 20 years old and played a games 3 days ago
I hope you are correctSluggish on defense. Need a day off and get home to get rejuvenated.
Isn’t there an NCAA or conference rule against this?why wouldnt they just stay out there
