the biggest thing I remember us railing about was Mettenberger playing like dog **** against you and an all American against us. He was terrible and should have been suspended for impersonating a qb.
Your recollection of the reaction to Ole Miss' victory over LSU is incomplete then, but I doubt anyone wants me dredging up old threads.
My biggest disappointment with ole miss is the zeal of their efforts to smear Dillon Day via social media and message boards. The guy was playing in the biggest game of his life and was amped, running down field and always around the ball. I did not see clear intent to seriously injure anyone and now Pandora's box has been opened for more of this type stuff which will hurt the game. Ole Miss as a fan base has gone over the top on this situation and that's a fact.
I'm not on Twitter, so I can't speak to what went on there, but I look at it like this. Ole Miss fans, just like any other fans, have every right to express an opinion on the Dillon Day controversy. Some of y'all act like if we offer the opinion that it was intentional (an opinion that I, along with seemingly the vast majority of college football fans, happen to hold), we must be "outraged" or "upset" about it. No, I just happen to have an opinion on a matter that is a relevant topic of discussion. Now for those who called him a thug or trash or other personal insults, that's overboard. I don't know the guy, and for all I know he may be a model citizen.
But it's patently ridiculous that (some) MSU fans are blaming OM fans for this controversy, when (1) multiple media outlets reported on it the next day, and (2) Les Miles filed a complaint with the SEC. But somehow we're the ones to blame? Come on.
