TCU was in the plot right next to us and they didn't have yours and others BS excuse. They ponied up and did what's required to win. Us we argue about this BS lol we suck thank god one day we get the full share BIG money it's the only way we will ever pay. It certainly won't come from alumni and fan donations.

I'm offering any BS excuse. The OP suggested we "overpaid" for Piekiell. I don't think we did, given our situation. But, as I've posted elsewhere, RU should have had a budget of 2 times what it paid to Pikiell, which would have attracted much more of a sure-thing type head coach. But, RU is unwilling to borrow against future Big10 revenues, which I believe they should be doing. Dixon was getting $3.2 M from Pitt, so you have to figure that TCU at least matched that. I don't disagree that RU should have done the same.
