Go to the 19:45 mark of the SCST replay video.. Slow the speed to 0.5. Watch until Oscar scores. Did he walk? He dribbles one time from half court to the basket

By the letter of the law there are approximate 25+ uncalled walks in every game. Also, a similar number of uncalled carries in every game. This is why so many spectacular plays are made. Observe how frequently a player changes his pivot foot or when pressured the player with the ball drags his pivot foot or goes heel-toe-heel with his pivot foot, both of which were walking when I played. Go to you tube and look up Duke player Moonwalks or John Scheyer travels across the court. Some of the missed walking calls are mind blowing.

Yes, when I saw it happen on TV I thought he carried the ball between dribble one and two. Like others, surprised it wasn’t called.

That’s the sort of play that the refs would’ve whistled in a split second back in the 80s and 90s, but nowadays they commonly just ignore.

There’s no area of the game where officiating has relaxed its standards in this era more than dribbling violations.

Changed the entire dynamic of the game. SC State could have pulled off the W if not for this egregious no call.

Yeah, I think he did travel. But they're not calling that these days. 20 years ago, it would have been called.

I don't think officials even know what a "walk" is these days- most shooters take a "hop" without dribbling before they shoot- not sure when moving both feet without dribbling didn't become a "walk"

Heel-toe-heel was Tyler Hansborough's favorite move. As far as the carry, rule used to be you had to have your hand completely under the ball. Think they changed that a few years ago tho,

He absolutely carried it. And he got away with the NBA extra step before he dunked. Both/either should have been called. Probably hard for the refs to see as they were all running at spring speed to keep up. Not easy trying to notice every detail of what's happening around you as you sprint down court.
