..and Duke picks up a crystal ball pick for Bolden this morning despite all this.. from a Duke insider. What in the world is going on with this recruitment?

I think it's good that as far as I know nobody is switching their pick from UK to Duke. The ones they have picked up lately I believe had either not picked yet, or had picked someone else.
Meyer did just tweet that he was now hearing Duke from some trusted sources. [sick] And you can just bet that if they land Bolden, they'll leapfrog us in the rankings, even though that would make them 4 5-Stars to our 5.
God, I hate Duke.
I do wonder how reliable those sources are, and whether Bolden has strongly indicated his decision yet.

Not sure any of these "experts" know anything. But, Meyer is now saying Duke and the Crystal Ball has 3 recent picks for Duke and Duke has 4 of last 5. Adam Rowe (Duke insider) had picked UK but changed it today to Duke.
I love how when Calipari gets 5 star players "He must be cheating!", but when Crybabyzewski gets everyone he pleases, no one ever bats an eye.
However, I do find some solace thinking about last year when Murray shocked everyone, as did Jaylen Brown.
Also, it just seems really odd that this momentum to Duke comes right after the Fox tweet and subsequent video of Bolden smiling and saying BBN. If he is playing with us and picks Duke, he's gonna be my new most hated Dookie.

Most people would have told you they still thought it was up in the air last night. Maybe 60/40 in our favor at the time.
Hopefully, this change is because of this buzz about a transfer from Duke and not on solid inside information.
Likely a lot of people just jumping at the tweet from Jerry Meyer. The inherent flaw with The Crystal Ball is that the "experts" on there are quick to just jump on anything, like a tweet, a visit, etc, and follow the leader and flip to who ever seems to be gaining momentum in the picks at the moment. Rather than basing their pick on any real source. Still quite discouraging though, as whoever ends up being the final consensus for the pick at the end is typically right far more often than wrong.

I'll clarify - Meyer said he is being told it will be Duke. He didn't offer his opinion or prediction.
There's always hope, but surprises like Murray and Jaylen Brown are more of an anomaly than the norm.

Yeah, Bolden is still going to UK I think. This is just the last minute "throw stuff out there" sort of stuff.
I bet he signs with UK. Although I would be intrigued by Duke's favoritism from referee protection and padded NCAA seeding that could make be rethink UK.
I do wonder if after the Fox snapchat -- if his camp is leaking some Duke leads to keep some drama on the announcement? They've done a great job keeping everyone guessing so far.

We'll know better after Bolden's recruitment. If he comes back with a "We had him, but something changed story." now that Duke seems to have the momentum, you'll know to take what he says with a grain of salt. If he sticks to his guns and is right in the end, then props to him.
