I think the 1st step of going 6-0 is going to be the toughest part. Not because we’re not capable of course, but because Lemonis isn’t particularly focused on it. I expect him to make a lot of moves during these last two weekends that are geared towards getting guys innings as opposed to giving us the best chance to win individual games

Arkansas & Tennessee only need to lose 1 game each if we go 6-0. Bottom line is, we have to win 1 game more than Ark, Tenn & Vandy and no more than 2 games less than Florida.

We'd really be in the catbird seat if we hadn't blown that game Sunday.
That said, there's a very good chance that all three of Vandy, Tennessee and Arkansas will lose at least one this weekend, putting us right back on track for at least a share of the title.
Hopefully Tennessee takes 2 of 3, it would be a lot easier to swallow sharing the title with them since we didn't play head to head.

It’s pretty obvious based on Sims not throwing 15 innings each SEC weekend. I thought everyone got the memo on this.

Yeah, you don't have to pitch your closer 15 innings in a weekend to be trying to win a conference title. I'm still trying to figure out how we're supposedly trying to get as high of a seed as we can, but not trying to win a conference title, since you have to do the same things to do both.

If we are able to sweep the last two series, I think the rest of these things are probably likely.

We are on cruise control towards a national seed. We certainly aren’t going to not try in the games we play. We are going to hustle and get after it every game. But if Lemonis really and truly wanted to maximize our chances to win an SEC title and get as high a national seed as possible, you would’ve seen Landon Sims come in on Sunday. But you didn’t. We aren’t going to overtax and wear out our bullpen right now, even if it costs us an SEC title. You’ll see a very different strategy with our bullpen come June and see exactly what maximizing your chance to win every ballgame looks like.

It's not that he doesn't care. Lemonis has said he cares. But he's also said the primary focus is on getting a national seed. Not a huge difference, but if he were more focused on the SEC championship rather than winning series and securing a national seed, you might would have seen him roll the dice by holding off on bring in Sims in a couple of games with decent leads and you probably would have seen Sims make a second appearance in a weekend some.

Also, in addition to not wanting to wear Sims out, he's probably also limiting him some to make sure other pitchers have a chance to establish themselves as reliable options for the post season.

I don't know that there are even three SEC games that he would have managed differently if he were focsed on an SEC crown.
