Top 10 Juco has us near the top of his list of schools, 6'3 SG is a bit undersized but he is canadian so he would fit in with our international flavor.
Anyone know more about him?
Anyone know more about him?
Bandoo plays lead guard as a JUCO. He is not a pure PG like Tai Strickland is but yes he can play lead guard.
Strickland flip? Any whispers?Offer list is intriguing. Can he play point at all? We need someone with a good handle and a 3 ball.
Offers for those wondering: WVU, Oklahoma, New Mex, Houston, Buffalo and looks from a bevvy of power conference teams.
Definitely intriguing. I want McConnell at this point or a strickland flip but we need bodies at the PG spot badly.
Who?Bandoo is a good player, but I believe the staff has others a little higher on their board.
He’s doing fine. It’s The Closer that’s struggling.Only 2 guards on the roster right now...Baker and Mathis. I see Kiss and Thiam sharing the 3 spot. That should be the basis for a strong recruiting pitch to incoming freshmen, jucos and grad transfers.
Hopefully, our highly paid Recruiting Coordinator and Unofficial #1 Assistant can get something done.
Why are some of you taking shots at coaches? Not following.
You do realize that the 2018 class is his first full class. Meaning it’s the first class in which he got to recruit from start to finish. Geo was a great find. It’s unfortunate that we did not close on Strickland or Alavarado. As for the in conference record... I mean really? I’m not even going to go into why it’s ridiculous to judge him by that numberNot that I agree with what he is saying. We are 6-30 in B1G under Pikiell and predicted last again in Year 3. Our recruiting as a whole has been pretty bad so far. His best 2 recruits so far omoruyi and baker at best are role players on most/all other b1g teams.
It isn't outlandish to entertain the idea that the current coaching staff isn't going to get it done. Unfortunately the right question is what coaching staff could actually turn our program around.
Really? You're conveniently leaving out both 4 star recruits. Did we get more than one 4 star every year with prior staffs? I must have missed thatWhy are some of you taking shots at coaches? Not following.

For the name alone.......
Yeah I can just hear our announcer now “Bandoooooo for twooooo”
Is that like Geo for Trio?

Mensah was a gag. Bullock was late in the cycle and was very talented in HS. Bullock was just completely out of shape. It’s funny, you knock him on Bullock and Souf, but I don’t see you giving him any credit for identifying guys like Geo and Geno. Not everyone is a hitI 100% agree with this thought. Respected it highly and the reason why I am still bullish on the coaching staff! However i can't look at what he has brought in so far and say he is the right guy. The Mensah, and to a lesser extent Bullock really makes me scratch my head and question the staff. If the class coming in isn't better than last year's new guy I will be in offical "really concerned" camp.
And Doucoure and Mathis! And Shaq Carter! Definitely not seeing the full pictureMensah was a gag. Bullock was late in the cycle and was very talented in HS. Bullock was just completely out of shape. (sorry for sounding harsh here, but I'm going to do it) and inheriting a team of Jordan recruits, some with great character but just can't compete on the BIG level (Mike Williams), and a ton of players who didn't want to play winning ball, had lousy BBIQ's and had selfish styles of play...he flushed out a ton and a few others have finally graduated and everyone can move on. I agree with a post made above...year 3 really feels like year 12 4 stars in Doucoure and Mathis. Eugene Geno Kiss. Juco preseason All American Carter. Johnson. Big man walk on in Nathan. Hit with Gettys....
All that after taking over a joke of a program and people focus on Bullock and Souf? Why? smh
Yeah, I don’t understand people who hammer Pike for a poor conference record. We’ve won a conference tournament game in back to back seasons. And this year we won two. Last place teams are not supposed to do that. Last place teams are supposed to quit. He had them believing that they could win the whole damn thing this year. And guess what, so did I2 4 stars in Doucoure and Mathis. Eugene Geno Kiss. Juco preseason All American Carter. Johnson. Big man walk on in Nathan. Hit with Gettys....

I loved Mike's style of play and appreciate the efforts he gave us. But how many minutes would he have gotten if he played for one of the top 8 teams in the B1G this year? That's where we want to be, right? BTW Dave, I took a grad class with you at Montclair State about 15 years ago. I hope you are still in the business and enjoying it.I know Mike wasn't the lights out shooter that we thought we were getting, but he ABSOLUTELY was a Big Ten player. One of the best rebounding guards on the team and a heck of a defender. The guy was a key in nearly all our wins, usually bringing down a key rebound late or getting a putback. That stuff matters and he was able to hold his own. Just because he wasn't a starter who shot 40% from three does not mean he couldn't compete on the Big Ten level. I'm sorry, he didn't come in and play as advertised, but he was something else completely. He was able to compete at the Big Ten level and I think we saw what the team lacked when he was out with his injury this season.
