All these guys play aau and go to summer camps. He should've transferred to Camden or a Philly prep. The competition in south jersey is so bad, hard to tell what he can really do
Camden's academics are trash compared to Lenape, there's no way he would've done that. A Philly prep school like St. Joe's Prep on the other hand would've made sense. But yeah, South Jersey isn't exactly known for high quality HS basketball that produces top D1 talent outside of Camden. Wrestling is bigger in South Jersey than anything as far as winter sports goes.He should've transferred to Camden or a Philly prep. Yep. The fact that we don’t have a shot clock ik jersey is a joke and rewards bad offense. You see scores like this all the time and teams holding the ball with a minute plus on the clock.40-35 with OT .. shhhhheeesssh
Serious question, if college has a shot clock of 30 secs, what should HS have? Maybe 45 secs?Yep. The fact that we don’t have a shot clock ik jersey is a joke and rewards bad offense. You see scores like this all the time and teams holding the ball with a minute plus on the clock.
Yea most likely but I’d argue it should be 35 or 40. We only play 8 minute quarters so there aren’t that many possessions.Serious question, if college has a shot clock of 30 secs, what should HS have? Maybe 45 secs?
I think we definitely are prioritizing Ben as that lead guard. Derek seems to be a fall back option (no offense to him, he’s a baller). Wouldn’t rule us going after Desmond Claude either.Right now Derek Simpson and Ben Scholtzberg are the top two guards we are pursuing, Both have had exceptional AAU seasons. Both will rise in the rankings dramatically but they are similar in their scoring ability but very different players. Simpson the quicker and Schtolzberg the bigger and more physical. Is it first to commit or which is a better fit? Derek is home grown Jersey while Ben is Cali but has a strong connection with Braedon Moore.
