Really? You do realize Cal did not have elite HS talent & UMASS? Camby was his history ranked player & he was barely in top 40.

At Memphis his rosters were not loaded with 5 star talent. He had a few really good ones: Waggoner, Rose, & Evans. However, he didn't have multiple 5-star players on any roster.

Cal has that reputation of rolling balls out because of the talent he has pulled at UK. However, supposedly the greatest coach ever has had more talent with less production the last 6 seasons & he doesn't get that reputation.

Cal can coach & knows what he's doing. Some of you are just to stupid to understand it.
No, the stupid ones are the ones who do not recognize that Cal is not coaching the same way now that he did at UMass and Memphis. And whether he knows what he's doing is not the issue; it's results. His record vs the top 25 is inexcusable except for the nut huggers like you.

As for the "greatest coach ever" he probably gets that leeway because of the 5 NC he's won. Cal is in Joe B. Hall territory now with his ratio of NC to years coached.

If you think a man (basketball coach) WILLINGLY leaves UK for Minnesota you are a special kind of stupid.
What does the record show. You said he was fired. You are wrong. Just admit it. You have to be stupid if you can't recognize the difference between quitting and being fired. Get a life. Tubby had some heat on his job performance but he in no way was getting fired immediately. You are a real special kind of stupid for not understanding the difference.

Another poster that knows nothing about basketball.
you are the one that apparently doesn't understand the game
Boston was horrible, yet probably played more minutes than any one
and took more shots than any one. He was Cal's "favorite"
He did not deserve to play that much, but he did
Last year was the worst year in the history of UK, yet that seems to be forgotten
by the Cal lovers. Last year was the perfect time to try something different
It wouldn't have mattered if they lost, because they lost any way
But Cal was to stubborn & arrogant to try anything or any one other than his way & his favorites

He was getting fired. This I know. He left before it could happen.

Do you speak in sign language? I'd imagine it has to be hard to verbalize anything with Cal's balls in your mouth

Pitino made the final four with Providence and Calipari was in the national championship with Memphis so I don’t the school made these coaches what they are. Pitino and Calipari were both going to win a title somewhere, we just got lucky that both did it while at UK
A school like UK helps bolster a coaches resume and also helps bolster them into the Hall of Fame. Example Cal wasn’t nearly as good at any other school as he was his first 5 years here. Pitino although a great coach hasn’t had a run anywhere else like he had here.

Are you still trying to sale that Allen is better than Mintz and should be taking his minutes?

You are too stubborn to understand basketball. This is not church league. I am sure you were a star in your own mind.

You know nothing. I know for a fact that he was not getting fired at the time he resigned.

the conversation was not about Allen or Mintz, but Mintz had a nice game Saturday, maybe he can keep it up
Do I think Allen deserves some playing time,? yes I do. If Hopkins can get playing time with 3 turnovers in as many minutes, then I think Allen & Collins need some time, especially in a blow out, but apparently only Hopkins can get away with more turnovers than Pillsbury

you are right, it's not a church league
I doubt if Boston could have scored in a church league, but apparently you think he was great
shows how much you know about the game
