Thinking about what it could look like next year, now that roster is near (?) complete:

PG: Mia Pauldo // Mya Pauldo // Deja Young
SG: Lauryn Swann // Chikae Desdunes // Kennedy Brandt
SF: Jaylah Lampley // Zachara Perkins
PF: Zennia Thomas // Imani Lester // Precious Gem Wheeler //
C: Fatima Diakhate // Mary Akinde

Could also go real big and do Pauldo/Lampley/Perkins/Lester/Diakhate

That's about where my thinking is, though Lester might have a shot at the starting role since she was at least solid in it last year when healthy.

Agree on Lester, and could see Perkins getting time at the 4 too. We'll see how "raw" Mary Akinde is, but my assumption is she's a depth piece for the upcoming year.

With our 2 roster spots left, if we are still looking for players, I'd prioritize 3-pt shooting. Lampley was pretty good last year (37% from 3); Swann was good at AZ before her shooting took a dive last year, and Pauldo is under 30%. I think Chikae is decent from long range, but we're lacking any go-to "sharp shooters."

I thought Perkins should have spent more time under the basket. I saw too many missed shots from others within 2 ft. That included Lester.

I think the main thing for Perkins to improve on is her finishing at the basket. Seemed out of control a bit too often and it showed on some shot attempts on the move. Her three-point shooting took a jump this season, so we’ll see how she does with another offseason to develop.

As a team they ranked 318th nationally (and last in the Big Ten during conference play) in 2PT FG% last season. I’d imagine that is a big focus this offseason based on how LSU’s teams thrived at the basket.

I'm not sure LSU had anyone over 6'2. We had around 6. Go figure.
