Depaul Prep's head coach left, anyone know who might be in the running to take over the program? It is a prime job in my opinion, but they need to act quickly and make a hire otherwise they will start to lose kids to other programs.
Seems like they lost some pieces. Two OL to Rice, a DE to MC. This is a team that is two years removed from a state title though, so I’d imagine they have some good talent coming up for the recruiting class that followed that title run.Anyone who matters still there? Or did they all leave?
DE to Loyola as well...Seems like they lost some pieces. Two OL to Rice, a DE to MC. This is a team that is two years removed from a state title though, so I’d imagine they have some good talent coming up for the recruiting class that followed that title run.
Am I confusing MC and Loyola or did they lose two DE’s? I could be wrong.DE to Loyola as well...
Loyola got a DL from DePaul, maybe the confusion is I said DE, my bad. He just committed to North Dakota.Am I confusing MC and Loyola or did they lose two DE’s? I could be wrong.
Did the academics change?Heard that DePaul lost 10 kids to transfers
Gonna guess a new coach didn't help and I feel like it took awhile, also not helpful.Did the academics change?
Rice picked up OL Junior to be transfer Daniel DeSouza - solid size
I was saying again because someone else posted the same exact tweet in another thread the day before you did.Yeah there is a new Uber service that leaves from Addison and Western each morning at 5;30 am
Where does this kid fit in? That’s the question I have. They have the other tackle from DePaul (plus his little brother) who already transferred in earlier and a returning starter tackle (who transferred in for his junior year last year) on the other side.Yeah there is a new Uber service that leaves from Addison and Western each morning at 5;30 am
Also, how do all the Rice o-lineman that have been part of the program for 2 to 3 years feel about four blue chip transfers coming in the past two seasons to start on the line? There’s gotta be some upset kids and parents.
It's the same at every school nowadays. Laurence got some noteable transfers that snagged some kids that have been playing there's spots. It used to be what really upset me about transfers because I've know families whose kids paid their dues and when it was their turn got passed over because of transfers and it sucks but it's just the new norm. The school isn't going to say no to a player who can help them because if you do he will just go to another school you maybe playing. You shouldn't have to use the saying "It's not personal it's business" when dealing with High School Sports but it's come down to that...and basketball is even worse...baseball is happening more and more. Laurence's All State catcher went to MC his Freshman year.Where does this kid fit in? That’s the question I have. I’m still upset your school got closed. Thornridge stayed open bc parent singular were worried about sending them to Thornton & Thornwood with rival gang members smhI never understood how the IHSA allows CPS kids to go to whatever school they want regardless of distance
Ahhhhhh. You can tell we’re getting close to the season with some good old CPS eight… All is right in the world.I never understood how the IHSA allows CPS kids to go to whatever school they want regardless of distance
Yeah, lack of effort is the only barrier for CPS schools. If the CPS coaches just put in a little effort
all of them would look like Morgan Park
Gotta remember LWN_Pheonix is a CCL supporter larping as a LW supporter.Yeah, lack of effort is the only barrier for CPS schools.![]()
I just figured the Rios brothers rented a 1 bedroom apartment on 97th and Pulaski and are sleeping in bunk beds and the new transfer is taking the futon in the living roomIn the case of the Rios brothers I know they live close to Rice. The DeSouza kid surprised me but perhaps his family moved? As for the other kids I know there will be very good competition. Rios (San Diego State) and Posey (Miami OH) will man the OTs. Houff the Jr most likely the Center. Frazier Sr., Rios Jr. Shelton Jr. Bartozek Jr and DeSouza Jr. will duke it out for the Guard positions and Anderson 6'7 310 Soph will most likely be a backup OT and spot DT fill in.
So you are officially off the "DePaul will be the undoing of Loyola" train? The value of a head coach in today’s NIL era….
DePaul is going to be that example
Speaking of not having a clue...I am forever a Phoenix loyalist!
But anyone making excuses for what’s happening at CPS…. Has no clue as to what is happening there
they literally don’t have boundaries
Morgan Park is putting the work in and they see a high degree of success including through the “transfer portal”
Honest question, did the IHSA inherit the NCAA rule that if your Coach leaves so can you? This has been the most flight from a program at one time I've ever seen. Before this I remember 5 or 6 noteable players and starters from MC leaving for Phillips and 2 to IMG in a two year span at the end of Lenti's era.
Please choose your words carefullySpeaking of not having a clue...
So funding, facilities, and the selective enrollment schools mean nothing, got it.
