I had no idea he was starting for the raiders.

Two MSU DL men starting tonight.

ETA: excuse....that'd be 3 MSU men.

This is true. I was coming to post this.

Jackson, Jones and Autry. Jackson is already very good and Jones is on his way. Autry is a solid DE, but would probably shine better if he had an elite DE on the other side of him like Von Miller.

Good look for MSU either way. Hope the croots are watching.

I'd say the best. I don't know if there's another player I'd take over him. He is the best OLB and the best DE. He made All Pro at BOTH positions last year. Unbelievable.

Mack is an LB. He's not a true DE like I was saying. For example, Pierre-Paul or Watt would make Autry look like a pro bowler.

Mack is a hybrid, where a majority of his sacks come when he is lined up out wide. Autry has always had pro bowlers opposite of him in Baltimore Chicago and now Oakland. He's a good player; however, to say he would be a pro bowler with the players you mentioned, would be a stretch. Autry has had previous and current teammates, who drew double teams and he still has not been able to garner pro bowl status.

Nice try, but you have confused Denico Autry w Pernell McPhee. While I agree w your point that Autry is not a perennial pro bowler, he has been w Oakland his entire career.

If you are getting Denico and Mcphee confused. Pernell signed a 5 year 38 million plus contract with the bears. In 2016 his base is 7 million. I'd say the bears have a high opinion of him pro bowler or not.

I said LOOK like a pro-bowler.

That means put up really good stats bc another guy is taking on more double teams and getting more attention.

I think Scott's point still holds true. Mack is probably the best DE in the league and if you want to include the Hybrid guys, he is up there with Von.

I'm referencing

the original post, bringing up that he was a 5star, by stateuofms. You furthered his point, thus I stated that I wasn't sure what it had to do with my point. Context. Calm down before you bust a spring, buddy.

After the game got into the 4Q and they showed Mack lining up with his hand down

I think Scott's point still holds true. Mack is probably the best DE in the league and if you want to include the Hybrid guys, he is up there with Von.

for a lot of snaps on the highlights, I think you guys have a great point-he is like a Von Miller/DE.

I still think if Oakland had a true DE and Mack continued in his role, Autry would put up better stats, but that's not the rocket scientist caliber of analysis I usually provide this board.

And Autry was a 5 star on some sites.

Meant to upthumb your post but it can't be unthumbed.

Mack strip sacked for the win (to seal it at least) the last 2 or 3 games. He's definitely no slouch himself.
