Correct. He was released by the Bears today.
Wow. Trevis had been putting up some really nice numbers in the preseason. I'm sure the Chicago papers are all going "Huh?" My guess is he gets signed by someone really quickly.

As for Prince, he's going to get picked up by someone to put on their practice squad and probably before he gets back around to the Chiefs in the waiver order since they're dead last in that queue. I'm trying to think of teams that are thin at RB. Maybe Washington. Maybe Dallas.

He's not on their cut list yet. I would be surprised if someone else doesn't claim him before he gets back around to the Chiefs. Also cut today was Tyon Davis who was in camp with the Rams and apparently made it to the end of camp. Chris Paul is sticking in Washington. I would assume Trevis and Tyler Smith will survive in Chicago and Dallas respectively. Anyone else in camps that we know of with TU ties?
Zaven Collins. 99% sure that he is safe.

Dang, Bears front office incompetence taking center stage. I can understand wanting to trade him to get something when they likely weren't willing to pay him to stay after this season. The Bears better hope he doesn't go to another NFC North team because he's going to absolutely make it a point to try and break Justin Fields to prove his worth. Another potential landing spot is KC who is without Chris Jones who is holding out. Gipson would be a good fit in that scheme actually.

Disappointed. Was hoping Gipson would show enough in camp to prove to the Bears his poor performance last season was an outlier. Hopefully he finds a landing spot where he can turn things around and get back to his 2021-2022 form.

Poor performance defined by leading the DL in sacks despite playing limited snaps. And he was in really good form this preseason as he had a sack in each preseason game, again on limited snaps. I wonder if Trevis has an agent the clown of a GM in Chicago doesn't like to deal with

Practice squad pays $12k/week and $216k for the full season, which isn't too bad as a way to kill a year or two as a gap year after college working 7 months a year.

Chiefs have 3 RBs on the 53 and 2 on the PS.
Well, Hellaire is an injury waiting to happen and Pacheco gets nicked up almost every game. I have Pacheco on my fantasy squad this year so I'm hoping he can stay healthy.

He had one sack total in the last 15 games of the season. He didn’t play particularly well over that time period. I did think he looked good in the preseason games but I’m not sure if he was lined up against 1s. Truth be told NFL coaches now evaluate much more on the joint practices with other teams they have rather than the actual preseason games. Whatever the reason Gipson was out of favor with the coaching staff which means a change in scenery is exactly what he needed

He also had a position change last season.

Gipson picked up by the Titans

Man, Trevis is going to learn from Vrabel. Great fit for him. Wonder if Vrabel will try to line him up as an extra OL in goal line situations and sneak him into the pattern đŸ˜‚
