Malzahn was fired

Still no chance.

Definitely no chance if you don't pursue him.

Interesting stats: RTG

Vedral 115.6
Gebbia 118.7
Luke 103.2

Chased off 2 guys better than the current back-up. SF could redeem himself by at least pretending to want to correct a mistake.

Yes, Dematrius was the QB I was hoping we'd get. Don't think there's any chance whatsoever now with Frost's record. Going to become a LOT harder to get out of state recruits to consider Nebraska after Frost's third year with a horrible W-L record.

Yep. The “we’re improving” sales pitch is over. Other teams are improving, we’re not and that’s the reality.

It might not be as big of a roadblock as we think it is.. I think most recruits are approached from the standpoint of you can make us better type of thing..

What really needs to change, is getting these guys developed and seeing the field.. i.e. being productive.

When you bring in quality players, and then many of them leave, you have done nothing for yourself or those athletes except waste everyone's time.

Frost has to get smart with player development & management, because the reality is, players can now transfer on you at any time.

If he is too arrogant to handle this reality, then he needs to hire someone else to manage it appropriately.

If the position coaches are not developing players, then he has to find better position coaches.

You need guys who produce.. not buddies to drink and dip with.

Believe me when I tell you there is no chance with Davis. He has been pursued.

Did not know gebbia was chased off. Disappointing to hear that fact. Assumed they wanted him to stay.

Whether he was chased off or chose to leave, Gebbia's numbers are awful.

QBR rating is 103 out of 124 ranked FCS QB's this season. (virtually tied with Noah Vedral who is at 105).

I think he will improve with experience, but there is zero evidence that he's better that the QB's currently on our roster, and some evidence that's he's worse.

McCaffrey should transfer and put up terrible numbers somewhere else. He would instantly become NU's would-be savior who got away.

I would really like to see us tell him to move to WR. I think he should be on the field in some capacity. Just way to good of an athlete.

Redshirt freshman versus a redshirt junior and a redshirt senior...

That’s a fair comparison...

Not to mention that all of their stats - including RTG - are terrible.

Hard to see how the Huskers' QB problems would be solved if players who are putting up awful numbers elsewhere had stayed.

As I recall one of Dematrius' complaints about Nebraska early in the recruiting season is that Frost ran the QB too much. And that was before Frost developed the reputation of not improving by Season 3.

It's really more about poaching Davis. To be more precise, take advantage of the coaching carousel and grab some available talent if you can. Not a certainty, but what in life is?
Luke btw has 1 TD and 6 int ... Vedral has 9 TDs and 8 int ... Schiano wasn't born yesterday, and 4-5 feels better than 2-6

McCaffrey isn't the answer at QB, but both he and Vedral have led their team to exactly one win.

I would be 100% in favor of flipping Davis. But not because of anyone Frost has "chased off."

Not everything you hear is fact. The staff didn't chase him off.
Agree with you. I don’t think they wanted him gone. Why extend the competition to the final week before the opening game if you wanted him gone?

doesn’t make a lot of sense to me...

Correct. They completely mishandled the situation, but they didn't "chase him off."
