Not a whiff at all. We will have Mason and Zoom next year and most likely another highly touted HS guard.
He can come here and sit out while repairing that acl to 100%.We'll land the 7 foot 5 guy (if BYU doesn't want him) maybe.
Im not sure what to do about kentucky basketball at the moment. Laugh cry be mad sad... I really am just numb to it.With millions and millions of dollars at his disposal. Unbelievable.
There's more than a dozen fans that cant stand Kentucky basketball being the way it is. Nobody really cares about Pope that much. They care about Kentucky basketball. He lives in your head along with about a dozen others on here
It does seem like the money UK has to spend gets us a hat on the table with anyone, but even in this era you need a recruiter to close the dealWith millions and millions of dollars at his disposal. Unbelievable.
Imagine how bad it would be if Stein wasn't crushing it.Im not sure what to do about kentucky basketball at the moment. Laugh cry be mad sad... I really am just numb to it.
A coach people want to play for is important. It does seem like the money UK has to spend gets us a hat on the table with anyone, but even in this era you need a recruiter to close the deal
Weird that since football is doing good pope doesnt get any criticism anymoteImagine how bad it would be if Stein wasn't crushing it.
When you put it that way it looks worse than it is. He's really only 0/10 on 5 stars per season.Pope is like 0 fer 30 on 5 star recruits. It’s amazing how bad he is at this.
I know people think we’ll get Millogo, but why? Isn’t BYU also recruiting him? When has a player willingly decided to play for Pope when BYU has offered?Who’s left? Rosser, Cherif, Black… Anyone else, or is it Hampton and the portal?
He’s really good at excuses. And for being such a poor leader of players, he’s managed to take lead of a cult of boomers huffing the 90s nostalgia. Is there anything Pope does well?
That’s the scary thing. He is overpaying. And they still don’t want to play for his a**.At some point Pope has to land one. Hes going to have to overpay for a top player. Quit overpaying for third options.
Should have gave stokes ten million and been done with it. Not even because hes worth it but for all the benefits of landing a player like that.
I figured once Pope landed his first stud it would open the floodgates but hes yet to do that.
This guy was never seriously considering Ky.
No thanks on Zoom and a highly touted freshman? How’s that been so far, lolNot a whiff at all. We will have Mason and Zoom next year and most likely another highly touted HS guard.
We hired his coach from NBA Africa just to get him, lolI know people think we’ll get Millogo, but why? Isn’t BYU also recruiting him? When has a player willingly decided to play for Pope when BYU has offered?
I see lots of weekends ice fishing this winter, myself. Ice fishing and drinking, but I repeat myself.Im not sure what to do about kentucky basketball at the moment. Laugh cry be mad sad... I really am just numb to it.
I'm watching it right now, he picked UNC.
This guy was never seriously considering Ky.
It wouldn’t surprise me. He left after supposedly wanting to come here early, we whiffed on Rob hard, he then took about a week and finally committed. I bet Pope had to beg at that point. That’s the scary thing. He is overpaying. And they still don’t want to play for his a**.
People talk about the Duke discount, but no one wants to talk about the Pope tax. These guys we have, these guys we’re offering, I bet you we overpaid for every single one of them. I heard we had to give Zoom an extra million just to come here after Wright played Pope.
sad timesI see lots of weekends ice fishing this winter, myself. Ice fishing and drinking, but I repeat myself.
Not saying you’re wrong, but, I see that excuse after every miss. Apparently, we’re just a perpetual hat on a table with every 5* we recruit & we’re never a realistic possibility. And, they do all end up going elsewhere, so, it’s not hard to believe. Which begs the questions, why do we continually waste time & resources on unrealistic recruits, who were never coming here & why is it that UK is always an afterthought, with no real shot?Congratulations
