And there was an article on TOS where he was quoted after Ace’s commitment and was super excited to play with Ace

Retweeted 2 posts about Ace committing.

He sounded excited to be committed to Rutgers. Ace may have removed any doubt about surrounding talent. Can't blame the kid for wanting an NIL deal. Need to step up to the plate and deliver. Hopefully this year's team finishes strong and has a good showing in the tournament to help bring in more donations so we can land and keep these studs

He’s what the ignore button was made for.
The thing is.. there are true Rutgers fans who are also pessimists.. they want the best but fear the worst. And when they see posts like this troll's.. they often feel the desire to agree.

On the football side, there are some Schiano-haters who are feeding Rugers-hating trolls who attack Schiano because they know they will get some agreement from those who want to feel their negative thoughts have support.

Trolls need to take along hard look in the mirror and the pessimistic Rutgers fans (who like to be referred to as the "realists") might benefit from assuming they are sometimes being used by trolls.

Still too much of this fearing the worst going on waiting for the other shoe to drop, but that's the loser menalty some can't shake. It's OK to let it go. Those days are gone. Embrace being a winning program. Let's expect excellence and good things to happen. We all deserve it

The "realists" about Rutgers basketball have just been flat out wrong. Being negative and being wrong under the guise of being a "realist" can't be a fun way to be fan

Or maybe he's a 16 year old kid who is not very polished in an interview setting and said the wrong thing.
Good reminder, it's easy to forget how young these guys are. AND how much reporters are looking for clicks when they write stuff.

That was my thought as well. Have TJ (not Pikes) reach out and give him an opportunity to clarify his comments. If he does, chalk it up to rookie mistake. If he doesn't, no hard feelings but everybody goes their separate ways.

A lot can happen for 2024 recruits before they sign Letters of Intent. For some recruits NIL is very important.Others might view location, playing time and won/loss records as important considerations.

As of 10 am Warren has shut down his recruiting and is firmly committed to RU as per NJ.com reporters.

Of course. Trying to think of the last kid to verbal to Pike who didn’t end up On The Banks. Was it McClung? That’s a while ago if so.

I don't see a lot of decommitments in hoops, unless they're originated by the school recruiting over that player. Anything is possible in recruiting but RU has two very good prospects in 2022 with Simpson and 2023 in Davis and should be fine with Harper and Warren at guard in 2024.

Any particular reason for less decommits in CBB v CFB?
At a high level?

looks like RU staff had a little chat with Dellquan to clarify his commitment and maybe even gave him a time out lol. Pic with TJ was the visual proof! Super happy to welcome you Dellquan to the wonderful RU family!
