The pedestal I put him on is a kid and a Rutgers athlete. You and I just have very different opinions on how to talk about athletes, who did throw a very nice TD right after you complained.
You'd think a rutgers athlete could outplay a Piscataway athlete

There is no doubt Art is the better QB. I dont care about “Gleeson’s system”. This is a high school offense.

The other guys got yanked unlike this pile of waste
When 80% of those passes are screens.... it makes it easy to throw a high percentage
So if the opposing QB 17 for 21 with almost exclusive short passes and screens, does not have any turnovers, and beats us 17-7 would you consider him a pile of ****? Or would you argue he took what the defense gave him and did what he had to in order to win the game. I am not suggesting Vedral is a great QB. He is, at best, a game manager. But he gets it done against the teams we should beat. Certainly not a pile of ****.
OTOH, I am curious what is wrong with the other two guys who haven’t been given much of a shot.

As far as anyone outside the locker room knows, Vedral is doing what the coaches are asking him to do: protect the football and get the ball to out playmakers. I want to see more throws down the middle of the field like the Haskins TD (great ball!), but Gleeson knows far more than I ever will about how to run the offense.

Beat Delaware, 3-0 will look sweet!

Years ago early in Schiano’s first stay we had a defensive back who was beaten every time the ball was thrown to a receiver in his vicinity. Schiano was asked why the back was still playing. His response: “He’s the best we got.” I guess that applies to Vedral.

anyone who think Vedral should be a qb hasn't a clue. What is sad is two fold; one that people are praising his stats and two that he's all we have.

I find some of the comments by OP way off base but others hyping completion % from a performance only Ron Ernhardt would love is pathetic

Vedral needs to do a better job with his legs...yes he completed passes at a high rate but they were passes than any scholarship D1A QB should be able to sleep through and complete.

It is hard watching the offense right now, but I did not see (acc sn coverage) him missing badly on open routes He was 22 for 28 with no interceptions. His play is affected by our o line and running game, which was not awesome today.

A QB who does not take risks is a good thing. I would love to have a great playmaker, we may have one next year. This year I think he will not lose a game on a bad choice and may win a close one by making fewer mistakes than the other side.

He's ok. I don't expect him to take games over but he plays smart and aware ( knows what he can and cant do)

Art sucked today. Threw most of his yards in garbage time. He threw a pick to end the game like the scrub he is.

Artur is on a short leash at Illinois and most of his passes are safe ones .
As talented as he is, Artur has the type of flaws that makes his coach not trust him completely to open the passing game up for him to use his arm like his physical talent would call for
Noah doesn't have the arm to be the same type passing threat, but has the understanding of how to keep Rutgers in the game.
With a better run game , Noah's QBing would be complemented and play less conservatively

As it stands now,U QB needs to be trusted to not fold under pressure and that's something Vedal excels at while the Fighting Illini don't look like they trust Artur enough to open up their passing attack .
Sitkowski has the physical talent over Noah, but the mental aspect of the game goes to Vedral .
