This is so great. Every offseason (also known as Marshall regular season), the Herdies find some miniscule reason to pump their chests when their insanely easy schedule amounts to nobody even knowing they exist. Let's recall the past couple seasons:
2013- We beat Maryland! We are big time! (Said to a team that,at that time, had beaten Maryland 26 times).
2014:We didn't play once decent team.... but Rockhead! And, we play Purdue next season! It took us 13 wins to get ranked! (Said to a team that played 3 of the top 6 teams in the country... knocking off #5 decisively and would have the Big 12 rushing champ next season).
2015: 10 wins and we got votes!
The important thing to remember about the state of WV football is this: Neither WV team did anything that great. WVU dropped a gimme at KSU that would have had them finishing the season ranked with nine wins. Marshall had the consensus easiest schedule in college football, and needed a bowl game against UConn to get to 10 wins. Your losses included: Ohio, Middle Tennessee, and Western Kentucky?
The reality is that WVU underachieved, and Marshall didn't care to try to achieve anything... and achieved less than nothing.
I could respect the hell out of Marshall if they played a couple P5 teams and won. Picking the first two teams I think of, if Marshall had played and defeated, let's say, Miami and Texas Tech, they get a congrats from this guy. Instead, they do nothing, finish outside the top 25, and still best their chest. I don't know about you, but I see no reason to be happy about any season that involves bring outside the top 25. From either WVU or Marshall perspective, it shouldn't be happy times.
At least we have a top 25 bball program to boast about. You don't have anything remotely close. Someone has to represent the state.

I didn't mention myself once and talked about how football was disappointing for the state of WV in general. There is nothing arrogant and egocentric about that.
Herdies just ignore the comments of those who point out their pointless football program. Marshall used to stand for something in the 90s. I used to root for them as a second team. They were my other West Virginia team. Seriously, what happened to your fan base?
