Irishcat; Read your post before I left this morning to work; been thinking of a team and your right, there really isn't a true defensive team that has the whole package.
Closest I can come up with (defensive teams only) are UL and Virginia. Even then, both have issues with certain matchups; UL can't play their shot blocker, Anus against teams like UK who has a physical big man.
I understand what you are saying, but I still have concerns down the road come tourney time if we do not get better at stopping people from driving at will to the rim.
Loyola Marymount was good and could score on anybody, but defense wins championships.

What you guys have to understand is two fold:

A. How the college game is being called this year.
B. How many possessions teams are getting v UK because of our super sonic pace.

We can't afford for Monk or Fox to get in serious foul trouble or heaven forbid foul out playing super tight D. We all know the refs break it off in UK anyway.

That said:

We are 15-2 with a marquee win on a neutral court over the Cheaters and are 5-0 in the SEC and are ranked 6th nationally.
