I may be eating my words this time next week but I think CU snuck up on a significantly overrated team. Don’t get me wrong THunter and Sanders son looked like the real deal but TCU also didn’t have film on CU, now we do. There’s no way S Sanders is going for 500+ and 4+TD’s on our Defense.

What Colorado did on offense to TCU is comparable to what we did on defense to Minnesota… They were competitive, and so are we. Just different sides of the ball. It’ll be interesting to see which wins out next week, their offense or our defense.
So do you think it will be a close game? And if so, do you have confidence that Nebraska knows how to win close games? I think we will play better against CU on offense than we did against Minnesota. But if this is a close game will our offense limit turnovers to maybe just one? Or none? That is my concern. You do not win close games on the road very often if you turn the ball over, especially in the fourth quarter. It will be very interesting to see if CU's defense is worth a crap. They did not look good against TCU. I think we learn a lot about our team this week.

I wish I could say we will win, but I have no confidence we will until we finally do. Our defense will be better than TCU’s, but can we hold them under 30? I don’t know.

I do think we will be more disciplined on offense. I hope we can outscore them. Just not holding my breath.

Our defense looked miles ahead of TCU. We should be able to pound them in the run game, all they have to do is call it that way. Wear them out and keep their offense off the field.

The D did look solid. That said, it was a very limited Minnesota offense, devoid of playmakers and a weak running game. QB nowhere the threat of Sanders.

I'm not making CU out to be world eaters, but this will be a significantly harder challenge. Boulder will be a madhouse and I wonder what the psyche will be for the good guys.

I hope the conventional wisdom of a team improvement from game 1 and 2 favors our guys, but color me concerned.

MN does in fact have a couple of very good receivers. Their QB was better than ours late in the game too. That was the difference in the game. Grant’s fumble was a killer but in hindsight that’s just one turnover.
