I would take Delaware’s running back, number 23, over a certain running back any day of the week.
Hopefully #0 on defense is not seriously hurt.

It was visible for a brief period in the Temple game and for one SU drive. For whatever reason, it seems that they just haven’t played with the same urgency when we start to build a lead.
I think I might be done here. Anger is a popular option today. Delaware is a damned good team filled with former FBS kids, a destination school for kids that didn’t like their playing time, AND they got the experience of a Final 4 in May.

Our defense and offense needs to play much better (in the same game) for us to pick up another 3 wins and go bowling this year.
Very little room for error in this conference when our talent level is not at the top quarter of the conference while playing most of our in conference games against the top half of the conference. The deck is stacked against us every year.

I never really liked the “read and react” defensive approach. It seemed to give the offense a chance to be more aggressive off the snap. But our D seems to be just the opposite. It looks like they fire off the ball very aggressively but aren’t reacting to the ball. I thought UD took advantage of our aggressiveness on several occasions. Somehow there has to be a balance between read and react as opposed to put your head down and charge. I have not done any film study so I could be very wrong but it just seems that way to me.
Are folks really complaining about some defensive mistakes in a blowout win? I’d much rather make them against Delaware in a game we win by huge margins and get them fixed for next time than see the issues for the first time against Michigan.
I am not complaining about mistakes. I just think that, today especially, the D line thought they could overpower the smaller UD linemen and were charging off the ball to get in the backfield so aggressively that they actually over ran the play on many occasions. The one thing I saw from the UD offense was that their RBs are very quick. Actually I think the D line will have a very different game plan next week.
That long run Delaware had up the sideline (early in the 3rd?) was brutal... As GS says though, "happy to be improving from the W column".
