Can't injure your arm if you don't have one!!
Because it’s an excuse I’d things don’t pan outAfter injuries to point guards for 2 seasons just don't understand why he would put faith in another injured one.
That guy is ridiculously good for having one arm. It’s a hell of an accomplishment to get anywhere near D1 with a disadvantage like that. Can't injure your arm if you don't have one!!
He's coming off Foot surgery man,he won't be ready till around September, only played 16 games last year,we don't need this.againI’m a Pope doomer but D Thomas is legit yall are goofy
A familiar name from last year. But not sure how I feel about recruiting another guy with an injury history.
Out of the true PG he is best available in the portal and is a must take IMO.
No he's notOut of the true PG he is best available in the portal and is a must take IMO.
I believe Vanterpool ,from FAUAnyone know who the other PG is?
He’s good WHEN healthy. He missed a lot of time. Pope is a fool risking a third straight year on an injury prone pg.I’m a Pope doomer but D Thomas is legit yall are goofy
in the 4 years at SDSU butler shot 29%, 33%, 34%, and 30% from three. In thomas' first two years he shot 35% and 36% from three. look at this thread and you see fans fawning over butler.Have we forgotten that Pope's system is based on shooting?
Why in the world would we want a 30% three point shooter who's prone to injury? Have we learned nothing?
Like someone else mentioned, this whole recruitment looks like a coaching staff that lacks the ability to be imaginative.
who are these other top PGs?What this tells me is Pope knows he can’t land the other top PG’s. Whiff King.
Dude is jalen Lowe and hurt nopeOut of the true PG he is best available in the portal and is a must take IMO.
I think there will be a number of good PG options but each will have some pros and cons. For example, I like Trevan Leonhardt (Utah Valley) if he enters but he’s not the most dynamic option out there (which is ok in my book). I think Alex Wilkins (Furman) is another younger, taller PG that everybody might be talking about next season and wondering why he wasn’t at the top of the transfer portal PG list. Mateo Esmeraldo (Lipscomb) has put up crazy good numbers as a game manager and is pretty efficient as a scorer, but he’s not going to be a big scorer. I could literally name a dozen more that are never mentioned that look to be really good PGs. But like you said, we can pick out something about all of them to be a potential negative.other top PGs so far:
#1 PG isahiah johnson/colorado, 6'1" 170 small body since its the same size of thomas and he is small. poor assist turnover ration --> out
#2 PG jackson shelstad/oregan, another 6'1" 170 guy so too small, shot 31% from three last year, 39% from the floor --> out
#4 PG markus burdon/ND, 5'10" way too small, last year and 3 years ago shot 30% from three --> out
#5 PG terrence hill/VCU, plays at a smaller level, not a pure PG, more of a combo guard --> out
#6 PG wes enis/USF, scored just 4 points against a UL team that plays no defense --> out
#7 PG acadian lewis/villanova, 27% from three, 50% from the line --> out
how you are into guys ranked outside the top 50 overall.
there are ZERO PG options that would satisfy the fanbase. so either (A) the crop of PG talent is poor, (B) uk fans are run and unrealistic expectations or (C) both
I hope you’re sitting down for this…I wonder, is last year's injury related to the games he missed(7) his sophomore year?
My favorite option that I thought would make sense when planning for the portal was Cruz Davis. Haven’t heard anything about him though. Can’t imagine he goes pro or that Hofstra can afford to keep him.other top PGs so far:

No way. Way?I hope you’re sitting down for this…
it was a shoulder injury lol
Thanks. I looked around a little bit and couldn't find that information.Dedans injury is just scar tissue in his foot it's not something major.
No way. Way?
Thanks. That's enough for me, I'm out on Thomas.![]()
Dedan Thomas Jr. injury update: Matt McMahon shares positive news on transfer guard
Thomas Jr., who had a season-ending shoulder injury last year at UNLV, is fully cleared to play now at LSU according to Matt McMahon.www.on3.com
Way lol

This right here another injured guy sheesh can we please stay away from those players....Injured guy that shot 30% from 3. I guess Pope will never learn.
but thats the rub right.....portal closes in 2 weeks. do you delay moving out on some good options in hope a great one becomes available? then if it does, have to settle for 2nd tier or 3rd tier player? i dont see how you can take that chance if you are popeMy favorite option that I thought would make sense when planning for the portal was Cruz Davis. Its because Pope doesn't know what he's doing. After injuries to point guards for 2 seasons just don't understand why he would put faith in another injured one.
