if I were a current player I would be in the process of changing my name to DeBerkshire-Hathaway or DeTD-Ameritrade

Pat McAfee show spent about 15 mins discussing the ad with Brady Quinn yesterday, and they ran the entire spot live

no amount of money spent by the school on a marketing campaign could’ve had even half the positive impact as this ad

win for the player, win for the business, win for the school

who could’ve ever seen that coming? (Me)

Well I don't know what they're paying him but would seem like they likely got their moneys worth.
Did DeColdest draw 3.5M clicks to the ad on various platforms? I see it's got 10K on YouTube.

Or did they simply run the ad (in which case it doesn't matter who's in it) on platforms that were already getting 3.5M views?

The ad has 10K views on YouTube.

This actually also is very good PR for Nebraska football. It alerts a lot of recruits to the potential for deals at Nebraska. They'll learn that one of the reasons why NIL deals are more valuable at Nebraska is because all players have a lot of name recognition here among passionate Husker fans who are pretty knowledgeable about the roster. And those players are not competing with local star pro athletes in this state for those advertising opportunities.

He's never played a snap. And he's already out for the entire season with an injury. Why hasn't this been advertised?

I hate the NIL but kudos to a guy getting paid before something like this happened because CFB history is littered with many a kid(s) who didn't and now they're out of football and never got to cash a single check off their talents. So in that respect I'm happy for the NIL and Decoldest and the ones who will follow.
