Something of a revisit to an earlier thread: Can we get to 2019 with an 8-4 record? 9-3?

I think yes on 8-4.

9-3 with chances of 10-2 if we can steal Wisconsin or Miami. We seem to always have Wisconsin’s number no matter what the records of both teams

Let's just take care of Boston than think about Miami. We always need to take one game at a time.

Come on. This is a Rutgers basketball “fan” board. We aren’t the players who have to take it one game at a time. No discussion of how we fare in conference? No discussion of recruiting? Only discussion of BU is okay?
this lol.

We have one loss now and still play: @Miami, MSU, @Wisconsin, @SHU (and @Fordham) before 12/31. 9-3 would be pretty darn good. 10-2 might get us ranked.

The range is realistically 6 to 8 wins. And I think we're better than last year. I'd sign for 8 right now! At Miami, Michigan State, At Wisconsin, at Seton Hall. Which of those exactly are we winning to get us to 8 wins?

We’ve been great against Wisconsin at the RAC and at MSG. But, RU has only visited Wisconsin twice and gotten blown out both times. The Kohl Center is a very tough place to win.

We get to 8-4 by winning games in which we’re favored and taking one in which we’re dogs. Not a given but doable. 7-5 I’m disappointed. 6-6, woe is me. 9-3 I’m jumping for joy. 10-2, well . . . .

Sagarin has Miami whipping us by a sobering double-digit score. As per usual, hoping the experts are wrong.

Agreed to an extent... the 4 games we're not favored in aren't necessarily set-up in a way that screams "upset," with 3 on the road and the 1 home game against MSU... the most obvious win out of those would be SHU, but hard to predict a win in that game. Although, they dont exactly look great this year...

If Rutgers went 2-8 in B1G road games it would be a monumental achievement. Think about that - 2-8.
