He is a card carrying cultist. Why anyone bothers to ask his opinion is mind boggling. Besides he's a lousy commentator when not slurping the Paternos.
PSU fans can't stand him either. His complete lack of preparation (for his own Alma Mater to boot) is unacceptable. He made up some stats about our OL on Saturday night, didn't even realize McGovern wasn't playing and then went on to call your guy Mullen instead of Muller. Guy has one game all week to prepare for and doesn't even demonstrate the professionalism to make himself look competent.
He can always go back to being a GM for an NFL team

He was the worst GM in the history of sports, and now he's trying his best to be the worst broadcaster.
Millen was going to be the next madden . People forget . He was the number 2 announcer on fox and then took the Detroit job.
A # of years ago it was reported in the Wall Street Journal that they surveyed all the then currently active GMs in the league, and Millen was voted the worst General Manager in the long and fabled history of the National Football League.
I was going to add that even Penn State fans can't stand him, but it looks like some here beat me to it.
I do not hope he dies as another posted kiddingly suggested but I do hope he overcooks his turkey Thursday.
Well you see what happened here is Mr. chicken was talking to Mr. pot roast and they're all real excited about the sides. But no one ever thinks about Mr. Turkey when they think about Thanksgiving. And that's when Mr. Indian told Mr. Pilgrim about the King of England and so that's how there's fish and chips and.... goddamnit.. I burned the turkey again.

Somebody I know, has met Millen more than once and claims he is a nice guy. Still, he sucks as an announcer and GM. Not sure how he lasted at either job
I'm sorry, but the fact that he is lousy at announcing and disliked by Nittany nabobs, does not preclude him from metaphorically fellating the paterfamilias of the Paterno clan.

he is a nice guy.. I talked to him for a few hours during a UM Friday walk-thru vs PSU a few years bac.. I prob knew PSU and UM better than him LOL.. but he was pretty fun to chat with. Interesting that he is HUGE.. he looks like he could still play today.. guy is a beast.-sg
