He may play but since he was out with a stress fracture in his foot, what will his conditioning be. You can't run on a stress fracture. That concerns me about JVando as well. He may be able to give us a few minutes if he is able to play but riding an exercise bike is not the same as running the court, starting and stopping. Wade's return does not concern me. If UMBC can defend K-State and force 18 T/O's what are they going to be able to do against out defense? I see Hami having a few breakaways on Thursday,,They have not played against a team with the length of the Cats..

This is why the SEC prepares you so much. The team you describe is what Tennesse is except two of their scrappy guys are also very skilled. The only thing the SEC didn’t prepare UK for is a good zone defense but they wouldn’t have to see that, potentially, until the title game

Actually that and a team like Villanova

There are a few things that you need to know about KSU with Wade in the game.

Wade is fundamentally sound. He can score in the post or from the perimeter. He can facilitate the game for his teammates. Brown and company are much better when he is in the game. The only thing keeping him from being more on the national radar is a signature win, and his unselfish play. He is kind of the opposite of every player on your roster.

KSU is a good defensive team. They may not have the athletes that Kentucky does, but they are scrappy and will make you play ugly. Their interior guys are tougher than they are given credit for.

If Wade is limited, I don't see how KSU wins this game. With Wade out, KSU is limited to Barry Brown hero ball. The kid plays hard, and gets a few buckets, but his talent level doesn't match up well with his effort. The other guards can be sped up and forced into committing copious turnovers.

If the game is tight at the end KSU does not finish well in pressure packed environments.

My son had a stress fracture that caused him to miss a whole season in high school.
They don't heal in two weeks.
