As much as we all love to get behind our own teams

I am hearing rumblings about De LaSalle and it current season

what do you guys think that is needed for them to turn things around?

in this current climate of the transfer portal, if they cancel another season; it might end the program all together

I sincerely hope that the lower levels are healthy

I think that we can all agree that more football is better for everyone

All it takes is a coach that can recruit and they'll be back on top.

Back on top? De La Salle has made the playoffs a total of 8 times, the last being in 2017. They have not won a playoff game in over 10 years and their 1 trip to the semi finals was over 30 years ago.

De had produced a few great players over the years and has had a couple solid teams, but they have never been anything more then an average to a slightly below average football program. They were showing some signs of hope when they had Marty Quinn and Chris Goeffer coaching their a couple years ago but Marty quit and Chris got the head job at Kenwood and some of the players they developed went with him, most notably Kenwoods current starting QB.

Their pool of players used to come from Bridgeport and Carneyville and those neighborhoods aren't big with families like they used to be. Bridgeport is becoming kinda yuppie and Carneyville isn't the same. St. Ignatius recent rise has taken some players that used to go to De.

Someone suggested once they merge with Leo for Sports and I thought that was a bad idea but I think now, especially for football, that might be worth looking into. They do have a top rated soccer team....
